I've always been curious why SETX is so slow to pull the trigger on replacing Head Football Coaches. I'm sure there are at least half a dozen Schools that know they are not bringing back their HFC and yet no action has been taken yet. I think informing a coach as early as possible is a much more humane way to go about the process. Rather than waiting until jobs start to fill up.

There needs to be an emphasis placed on developing QB's and improving the passing game.
-
What did Robinson do that caused such an uproar? And if he is not good enough to be the Head Coach then how is he a good enough employee to be an Assistant AD?

Offsetting unsportsmanlike penalties that were post score, so dead ball penalties that had no impact on the play. I think. -

The illegal batting penalty does not carryover to the free kick. The only way the illegal batting penalty would be enforced is if he would have batted the ball back into the field of play to avoid the safety. -

He needs to deep snap on punts, because the 2 safeties and the points following the free kicks are what got Huntsville back into the game and keep them in the game. -
No, actually Brock is very talented and also very strong and physical.
-
Actually, aptitude is defined as natural ability to do something. Strength is not doing something, strength is acquired by doing something. But thanks for the English lesson. I'm pretty sure my SAT score was higher than yours. But, maybe not. You don't strike me as an Ivy League kinda guy though.
-
And strength has what to do with "natural aptitude or skill"? Strength may enhance talent, but it is NOT talent.

Yes, WOS has played for 4 in a row. But, nobody else has even played for 3. That was what was being discussed. The Senior's at WOS have been a part of a State Championship Game run all 3 years they have been in high school, up to this point (looking for #4). -

Only team in the State to play for the last 3 State Championships right? -
Just so we are clear, you are telling me it is easier to develop talent (skills) than it is strength?
-
IMO, strength is a lot easier to develop than talent (skills). You are obviously a coach and a lot smarter about these things than us mere mortals. But as far as I am concerned, and where this conversation started, strength does not equal talent. Center is a more talent rich school that Liberty.
-
Don't know why you are throwing shade, but to me this is not personal. Yes, some kids are naturally stronger than other, it is genetics. But that is not talent, IMO. But typically, strength is developed through hard work in the weight room and a mental decision to commit to the weight room. Where as talent, even though it can be enhanced and even developed, is something kids just have.
-
Some kids are inherently talented, and from what I have seen, Center has more than their far share of talented kids.
-
Talent is a skill set. Strength is a mind set. Both can be taught or "coached" but the skill set is more inherent than the mid set.
-
And by commitment, I am referring to everybody in the program, from the head coach to the assistants to the players. Heck, even the managers need to lift!!!
-
It takes ZERO talent to be STRONG. All it takes to become strong is a commitment to hard work in the weight room.
-
I guess your definition of talent and mine are different. What I hear you saying is that Liberty was stronger and better prepared. That is not talent to me. That is preparation, coaching and a mind set that is developed by the coach. I thought Liberty had a great chance to win because of those things.

And didn't WOS return the opening kickoff for a TD also? Sounds like it was a game of 2 evenly matched teams the first time that was decided by Special Teams. No reason why the rematch will be any different IMO. -
You are telling me Liberty was as talented as Center?
-
Have you seen the kids in Center?
-
Yes, but they dropped to 4A-DivII this year and went 6-4 and got beat in the first round by Liberty.

Well....... It really is all about the TEAMS, i.e. the players.
