  1. They already had all of the information prior to the meeting. They didn't go into the meeting blind. The facts are simple and the evidence is obvious. The parties involved (PNG) stipulated to the wrongful act of employing digital recording (picture taking) devices during the course of a contest. The only thing being contested is whether the information obtained from an illegal source was used during the course of the contest. However, the use of the device is violation enough to warrant forfeiture.
  2. This is not a courtroom. And, you never ask a question that you don't know the answer to. Cross Examination 101.
  3. Like i said in an earlier post, the votes were known before the meeting ever took place. Coach Barrow is smart and calculating, not reason to add fuel to the fire. Everything he says holds up, because nobody would want a coach to vote for selfish reasons. Just do what is right and honorable.
  4. What selfish reasons do Vidor, Dayton, or Santa Fe have for voting in favor of the forfeit? Didn't Santa Fe actually have the probability of making the playoffs go down with the forfeit? I know BH had a playoff spot guaranteed and now they don't. Sounds pretty honorable to me. Definitely doesn't sound like cheating.
  5. Well, if you've ever partied with any alter boys.......
  6. Your right, you don't know the UIL. They will call additional witnesses and the truth will be sought out with extreme prejudice.
  7. He's a lawyer. Not sure how good of a lawyer, but a lawyer just the same.
  8. I'm thing BF might want to hold off on an appeal, some new and damaging information might come to light. That appeal process can get a little sticky when you start interviewing past coaches and what goes on during a normal Friday night in the press box.
  9. Ok, sure. Maybe Monte doesn't want to give any more ammunition to PNG prior to them playing in two weeks. Everybody went into that meeting already knowing what the vote was going to be, Coaches talk to each other. Those quotes mean nothing, because 3 other coaches (5 if you count BH and Crosby) felt differently.
  10. And you presume that he was just taking some general aerial shots for his scrapbook. Dude, why else would a coach take pictures of a football game from the press box unless he was going to look at them and analyze them and pass on that information to coaches calling the offense or the defense?
  11. The problem with this argument is, the pitcures taken by fans are not being analyzed by coaches. If coaches are taking pictures of the opposing defense, then they know beyond a shadow of a doubt where they are lining up and where to attack them.
  12. Assistant Superintendent Julie Gauthier blamed the violation, which occurred during the Indians’ 48-45 win over Crosby on Oct. 12, on a lack of understanding of the specific rule. “One of our coaches who didn’t know the rule had the iPad propped against the glass in the press box taking photos,” Gauthier said. This is from the Enterprise article. This tells me the violation was deliberate and they were gaining an advantage. Now who knew the rule and who didn't is debatable. And the fact that Faircloth was aware of the violation is also debatable. However, he is ultimately responsible for the actions of his coaches. so.........

  14. Not sure it will be 14, but i tend to agree that Home-field advantage is a real thing. However, LC-M likes to sling around also if I'm not mistaken. It is just disturbing that the Falcons continually find ways to fall apart. I really think it is a coaching issue.
  15. It is an NCAA rule. Which Texas High School football follows, unless otherwise stated. Other states, with the exception of California, play National Federation Rules, which allow it.
  16. Yes, and there is a penalty associated with being caught.
  17. I posted than prior to the PNG forfeit.
  18. Robert's Rules of Order states a voting member may abstain if they so choose. If, I'm not mistaken.
  19. Because I hate when people who have zero clue state something as facts, that is completely false.
  20. College's do NOT!!! Texas High School football plays NCAA rules, and the NCAA rules are VERY clear on this issue.
  21. That is cheating, and that is as bad as it gets.
  22. Congratulations to the Red Devils, the coaches, the community and anybody associated with the program. It is certainly a great moment in History.
