  1. I think Huffman's passing attack gives Lumberton fits, but the home team always seem to have an advantage. I would be surprised if the outcome was anymore than 10 points difference. I'm taking the..... Falcons 31 Raiders 24

  3. Nothin wrong with slingin the ole tater round a bit now an again. Don't be such a hater. Woodville better watch out for those phantom holding and pass interference calls, those penalties can be killers.
  4. Even more reason why Splendora may be the only team with a shot to run the table.
  5. The only team i can see running the table is Splendora. But...... Lumberton does some good things and will be in every ball game. Huffman can sling it around and give people fits with the pass. LC-M will be a thorn in somebody's side and pull an upset along the way.
  6. I think Splendora has to be the District favorite as of today. If Lumberton get healthy then I think they have a shot at it as well.
  7. BH blows the top off tonight. May not be enough numbers on the scoreboard to keep up with the high flying Eagles.

  9. I have NO IDEA what you are talking about. Never disrespected anybody. I have no idea who all of the coaches have been in Huntington. I'm sure there are some very good coaches and some great men on that list. Just because somebody does not win, does not make them a bad coach or a bad person. Never said anything bad about anybody.
  10. There were a couple Equine related puns in there. But regardless at my attempt at humor, I don't think Crosby's mindset will have much to do with the outcome. If Crosby struggles early and even if they overlook Dayton, that will only keep this one close for a half. Crosby is too talented to lose to Dayton (IMO). If Dayton was a ball control, smash mouth team like Vidor, then I could see them hanging around the whole game. But, Dayton's style of offense plays right into the hands of the more talented Coogs.
  11. At the Reservation, PNG wins this one.
  12. Crosby will have to be more than distracted to lose this game. Dayton just does not have the horses to beat the Coogs. It may be close for a half if Crosby is slow out of the gates again, but Code Red pulls away down the stretch.
  13. Has anybody considered that Huntington just might be headed in the right direction? That for the first time in their History they have a coach that really gets it? That they are putting kids in the right positions to be successful and actually playing real football? I really don't know, but it's a thought.
  14. IKR, Crosby is far from soft. I don't think it is the toughness that will give Crosby problems tonight, it is simply the style of offense. It is tough to defend the Slot-T wen it is run well by a good group of athletes. With the weather and field conditions this could be a matter of taking care of the ball. I still think Crosby wins, but a lot of factors are in Vidors favor.
  15. Who do you think the best coaches in Livingston were when you were there?
  16. I think one of the biggest factors that a lot of people are leaving out is COURAGE. Too many kids today don't have the courage to be great or even average football players. And too many coaches don't have the courage to create a hard working, disciplined atmosphere, or the courage to make the tough decision.
  17. I remember him, it is amazing what having toughness, heart and courage will do for you in the game of football. Add some strength and athleticism and you have on heck of football player. That is what Dayton Broncos football used to be about.
  18. Rowe had some great staffs, that is for sure. He some how convinced some of the best coaches around to go to Livingston and that is why they were as good as they were for 10 year (oh, a few athletes also helps). Now as for this game, this week, this will mark the lowest point in Livingston Football history if they lose. And they very well might.
  19. I was enjoying that trip down memory lane.
  20. No more Douget's is the problem!!!
  21. And yes, Hererra threw the dime to beat Livingston.
  22. You are correct Sir. What is sad is that Coach Rowe insisted on putting Livingston's starting Running Back at Safety for that drive because he was their best athlete. He took the starting Safety out of the game who probably at least bats that pass down.
  23. I think it was 2010 at the Butch, Livingston had them beat in the playoffs. The Lions scored with less that a minute to go to go ahead by 1 or 2 points, It took Dayton less than 30 seconds to go the length of the field to score a TD and win 28-24.
