  1. Leadership, Commitment, Plan, not sure Broussard had any of the three. How long before Coach Vanover realizes this mess is more trouble than it is worth? One Season, maybe two?
  2. So you are telling me that PNG is better than Lufkin? By alot? The same Lufkin team that just took 6A State Title contender Lonvgiew down to final minutes and barely loss. PNG may very well win, but I wouldn't take the Hornets lightly or they might sting you.
  3. They were't that much bigger than Livingston at the time. College Station was only in their 4th year of playing varsity football and it was only their 2nd season in 5A. Still have no idea why he scheduled Magnolia West, but that is a question for the man.
  4. That would be Broussard's second year? That was his first REAL team after he ran all of the holdovers from Rowe's staff off and got all of HIS guys in there right? They were total flexbone that year if I'm not mistaken and it was an unmitigated disaster, other than Caddie. That was the season that ended with 2 teams (JV/Varsity) and around 60-65 kids in the program?
  5. Yes, yes it is. And I will more than likely get shot down this week. Hey, but at least I was at the top of the mountain for a moment.
  6. I will agree that the Culture in the Livingston area is not conducive to success on the football field. However, Randy Rowe found a way to win with the same type of kids. I know for a fact that in Rowe's last year in Livingston he had 3 teams, with over 30 kids on each team and over a 100 in the program. After Broussard's 1st year in Livingston they never had more than 2 teams for more than 6 weeks and the overall numbers plummeted. Broussard ran off every quality coach left over from Rowe's staff, including 2 Livingston graduates who are both well respected in town and by the kids. Not a recipe for success.
  7. Nobody said that BC sucked, they just aren't good enough right now to compete with the first two teams on their schedule.
  8. Look for Jasper to pound Bridge City much the way Diboll did last week. Jasper 45 BC 12
  9. Dayton has things going in the right direction, don't anticipate them getting derailed by GP.
  10. 1. Nederland 2. Newton 3. Beaumont Legacy 4. Hull-Daisetta 5. Strake Jesuit 6. Dayton 7. Port Arthur Memorial 8. Port Neches-Groves 9. Manvel 10. New Caney 11. Barbers Hill 12. Orange Community Christian 13. Liberty 14. Jasper 15. Lumberton 16. Orangefield 17. Diboll 18. East Chambers 19. Hamshire-Fannett 20. Edna 21. Buna 22. Hardin 23. Woodville 24. Evadale 25. West Sabine
  11. Nice first post, but this is the train wreck that Broussard left for somebody else to clean up in Livingston. But, it is not all Broussard's fault, the talent is just not there right now to win or maybe even be competitive.
  12. It was the JV-B team. All sophomores who have little to no shot to ever play on Friday nights.
  13. I agree that in the long run they will be just as good, if not better. Which should translate into more success with the drop in classification. However, they will not be as dominate in early in the season. Lots of turnover in both offensive and defensive lines and a new QB usually means a few weeks to gel.
  14. Did you say Lumberton beats Jasper? I'm definitely not disagreeing with you, just wondering what you base this opinion on?
  15. This should be very competitive. LCM will have to match the physicality of the Eagles and contain the speed also.
  16. This one could get ugly. If Hardin put it on Livingston last week, no telling what the Lumberjacks might do.
  17. Except CC doesn't know the forward pass is legal yet. That concept has yet to trickle down to that part of Polk county.
  18. They will need to be good, the best part of Nac's defense is the front.
  19. I know what you mean, I edit my stuff all the time for the exact same reason.
  20. I like it when you quote yourself oldschool, makes for good stuff.
  21. Ah, that ole LC-M sarcasm, now I get it. Mix a little sarcasm with some sarcasm with a prediction of future success for your team and lead to confusion for all. Now I follow.
