What's the close date on this job? With the athletes yall have in baseball, why don't yall throw the football more?

Not the same quality of athletes they have had in the past. That group from 2006-2011 was special. There were multiple D1 kids on those teams. None of those hanging around anymore.

Not sure how much thought went into it, but one head represents Central, another represents Ozen and the one staring you down represents "UNITED."

I guess you conviently missed the "Third Base" coach taunting the Jasper dugout after the home run, but that's ok. We will see hoe this series turns out. Two completely different teams from last year.

They will get a very good football coach, if the School Board can come to the right conclusion this time and not screw it up. There are a number of VERY qualified and high quality coaches who want this job. They are former Livingston assistants who want to be in Livingston and can get the program turned in the right direction. The coaches I am talking about are dang good coaches and know what it take to be successful in Livingston.

Jasper is very good and I think "REVENGE" is a word being spoken repeatedly in Jasper. If they can, the Bulldogs will beat the Tigers as bad as they can. These two do not like each other and the antics from Silsbee last year may come back to bite them this year.

You are probably right, not a lot of Devonte Mays type kids around Livingston anymore.

Is the new track/soccer complex going to have turf? Glad you are happy with what is going on in Livingston, because accepting below average is why they are in the position they are in right now.

It's just sad that the town has so little respect for football. The NEW high school is amazing, but the original bond package had a stadium/natatorium/baseball/softball complex included, but it got voted down. The town of Livingston has very little respect for athletics and football in particular. Good luck to the Lions, hope they hire the right guy this time. Because Broussard was a complete and total failure.

I don't think the "Five Guys Burger" founder is going to coach in Livingston. He may have been the last great straight on kicker, but Mark does not have anything to do with Livingston anymore. If he did, you would think he would make a donation to help them build a NEW STADIUM, because that place is garbage!!

From what I hear, there are bigger problems in Livingston than the lack of athletes. But, the same can be said for BC.

That's a dang good question. Not sure what the answer is. Very similar places, very similar situations. I think I would have to give the edge to BC, based on recent success.

I am anticipating a number of names from the past to surface. Somebody needs to get that FOIA request ready to go. We need to see the list of applicants for this one.

It will be interesting to see which direction Livingston goes.

The question is, was one of those STAR players hurt in an unnecessary drill? Was this STAR football player also a STAR baseball player? Did both of DuBois kids graduate? Was there a POWER struggle between football and baseball? Because if there was, then Baseball was always going to win that battle in BC.

You really aren't using up pitching if you play on Saturday or Monday. Saturday games the Pitchers will have 5 or 6 days rest. Monday games, the pitchers will still have 4 days rest. If you play on Monday you just use 3 or 4 kids and treat it like a bull pen day.

Well now......

Competition, coaches like to see their kids compete. The more quality at-bats a kid gets against good pitching the better he will be. This is preparation for the playoffs.

True In other news, I saw where the Head Softball job is open, is the Baseball job soon to follow?
