Unless they have a Freshman that can sling it, this will be a very run heavy offense. They have two good, young backs returning, but from what I saw last year there is not a QB in the program that can throw with any accuracy or arm strength.

Yes, it is all about PRIORITIES. It is sad when COMMUNITIES don't support the future. Yes, taxes are high. Yes, raising taxes sucks. But its called making a small sacrifice for the greater good. The past 6 districts I have supported financially are all well ahead of Nederland in recently built schools. And I did not say anything about the quality of the education that students get in Nederland. That is definitely not my place and I do know that the Standardized Test scores in Nederland are very high. I am not a Nederland taxpayer, so you are right that my opinions mean absolutely zero. However, it is a slap in the face of the students, teachers and the community as a whole to have facilities that are as outdated as the ones in Nederland, just an opinion from an outsider. Just because something is still functional doesn't mean it's not outdated. I think the great students and teachers in Nederland deserve a reward for their achievements. Having high quality facilities should be the goal of every district.

That is completely unacceptable. How does a community let something like that go on for so long? Have yall past a bond in the last 50 years?

For an area that likes to pat itself on the back for how good they are at everything they do in Nederland, it is amazing that the community has let the school facilities deteriorate to this point. From what I have seen, they need new junior highs and a new High School for sure.

Hence why I think Flores is a good choice. He has proven he can do something positive, with very little talent.

Dang CB, you are the classic Dan Patrick supporter. Public Education is the backbone of this country. Are you an East Coast Yankee Elitists? Who do you think should pay for our children'e education? And try not to forget that we are talking about the future leaders of this nation. And these people who own multiple properties and business are NOT the ones that keep School Bonds from passing. It is your average homeowner who thinks their property taxes are going to sky rocket. Or worse yet, the fixed income retired people who's property taxes are "locked" and won't even go up if a Bond is passed.

The cost of a 20-30 MILLION dollar bond package cost the average home owner about as much as they spend on coffee and doughnuts. Really people, we spend more money on fast food, cigarettes and liquor than we do on our children's education and athletics are a big part of education.

I know Hudson lost a lot to graduation and other non baseball things, but this is still a little surprising.

As far as seating (home a visitors), parking, lighting and playing field, Livingston has to near the top. It is amazing to me that they built that multi-million dollar school and id not build a Stadium on the campus.

i AGREE 100 and the reasoning was stupid. The event was too recent??? Really??? The whole the reason the schools are combining is because of the HURRICANE!!! They will be reminded of the event for the rest of the time they are in school. And the school name, UNITED, because of the Hurricane.
