Yes, but LCM got stuck with Navasota and Silsbee. There are NO Navasota's and NO Silsbee's in this district. Splendora and Livingston are below average athletically and neither is coached exceptionally well.
-
Oh it's a LONG SHOT, but stranger things have happened. Lumberton will probably win thier district, but beating Silsbee is not going to happen.
-
Not sure that is happening, but it is always good to have a dream.
-
QB will definitely be missed, and I didn't see anything that even remotely resembled a Varsity QB in the program. RB's will be the strength of the Offense and as long as your not playing Carthage the Secondary should be able to hold up. The key to Silsbee's success will be how good the O-Line and D-Line are.

Craig can flat out coach, good luck to him and Kirbyville.
-
I will go one better and say 6-4, runner-up in district and at least 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.
-
You have to look at the big picture. Yes they lost some key components to last years team. But, they played a number of Sophomores on Varsity at some important positions. Not only did these young players get some valuable experience, they also allowed some other players to get experience at the Junior Varsity level. Now this may have not translated to victories at the JV level, but it did allow a number of kids to grow and get better. Crosby will be real good next year.

Lots of fans get season tickets just so they can have a ticket to MCM and an option on playoff tickets.

I try to ignore CB, especially when he is talking about Beaumont or anything related to Beaumont. -

He is 6'0 and around 200 lbs. and he can flat out fly. If his other measurable's (vertical, standing broad jump and 3 cone drill) numbers are as exceptional as his 40 time (4.4 something) then I expect he will be drafted in rounds 3-5. He has played the nickel corner (safety) position at Alabama so he understands coverage's and the NFL does NOT shy away from someone who likes to talk a little trash. -
Based on recent success, returning talent, tradition and coaching I see it like this: 1. Crosby 2/3. Nederland/Barbers Hill 4. PNG/Dayton/Vidor/Santa Fe 8. Lee
-
Not sure why the locals are being so TIGHT LIPPED about this. I know somebody has some information about the finalist.
-
That is why I think PNG struggles to make the playoffs. This is a very deep District and I don't think PNG matches up real well with a number of teams. RJ is the only saving grace because he can beat you in so many ways.
-
These two locations would make the most sense, not sure Silsbee wants to play in Lufkin again though. The last trip was not to enjoyable.
-
I agree that nobody runs the table. But i still think Lumberton is the class of the District and Livingston and Splendora just don't have the dudes to make the playoffs.

Good to hear. -
If you don't think Crosby, Barbers Hill, Dayton and Santa Fe are better than Lumberton, Lee and Livingston then you are delusional. PNG lost a lot of Offensive production that they will struggle to replace. And we all know the problems on the defensive side of the ball. RJ may get you in the playoffs, but like I said, it will be a struggle.
-
I think many people are overestimating the abilities of the returning players for PNG. They will struggle to make the playoffs Crosby and BH will battle for the District Championship Nederland will finish a solid 3rd Dayton, Vidor, Santa Fe and PNG will battle for the 4th Playoff spot
-
Not even close. I think they stay within two TD's.
-
I'm probably going to regret this because of the hate from the PNG fans that I will receive, but I'm not sure the kids in PNG have the DNA make up to be really good tacklers. To be a really good tackler, you have to have some level of physicality and from what I have seen in the past there is a lot of "Downy or maybe Snuggle" in the DNA of these Indians.

Newton could compete against either team, but I think the depth would wear them out in the end.
