  1. It really does stink for those Central graduates that are proud of their school, but it was terrible for the graduates of South Park and Hebert and French as well. There is a long tradition of consolidation of schools in BISD. This will be just another step in the right direction. Doing what is best for the students NOW is what is important.
  2. And Westbrook is in the 2400 range correct? So, sounds like the solution, 2 equally sized schools.
  3. How close would the numbers be if they simply kept the boundaries as is and just left West Brook alone and combined Central and Ozen?
  4. So, according to your "SOURCE" Central and Ozen are merging into one 6A High School?
  5. It would be a "Monumental" upset if Silsbee were to beat Carthage.
  6. Sorry, I mistyped. i fixed it. i mean't Jasper. Had Silsbee on the brain.
  7. Saw them play Jasper and they looked small, slow, weak and not very tough. But, Jasper makes a lot of teams look like that. I kinda figured they would struggle with Madisonville's size. And that running back from Madisonville is stout.
  8. Picking Center is definitely an East Texas homer pick, a lot like picking Atlanta. Atlanta and Center are very similar in that they both got off to very slow starts, but found thier footing late in the year and were able to win the games necessary to get into the playoffs. Slisbee could very well be the most athletic team in the entire Region. They play a smash moth brand of football that will give Center some problems. However, if you are able to stop the run they have the ability to throw the ball effectively and a very talented group of receivers. Silsbee wins this one and gets on a roll that takes them all the way to a showdown with Carthage (again).
  9. Probably not worth it unless you are a hardcore H-J fan. Madisonville is solid and they have a running back that is as good as any H-J has played and an offensive line as good as Jaspers.
  10. Still have it and it still fits!!! Wore it to my Home Town teams first State Championship game a few years ago.
  11. is this a legal, academic, athletic or campus behavior issue? Not asking for anybody to spill dirt on a talented young man, just curious.
  12. I don't think it will be a blow out by any stretch of the imagination, Atlanta is a good football team and they have started putting it together, especially on offense. But, Atlanta struggled with Pleasant Grove, and Jasper is very similar on both side of the ball.
  13. Probably because even though many of us want the Rabbs to win, we are realist and understand that Jasper is probably the better team.
  14. It's not Gilmer they have to worry about, it is the Pleasant Grove Hawks. These two teams will be mirror images of each other when they meet in the 3rd round. Both will run the Wing-T offense, and run it well, and both teams will play aggressive defense. Should be one heck of a game.
  15. It does not sound like an ineligibility because of residence, sounds like "no pass, no play eligibility."
  16. Looks about right, can't really argue with any of those picks.
  17. Yep, That is the reason I post on so many topics that have zero bearing on my life.
  18. Yes , but Dynamic is usually associated with Versatile, at least in the Sports Vernacular.
  19. Yes they will and start the March to Arlington.
  20. By definition, NO. Dynamic means constant change. If all you do is run,the ball then there is not change, other than left or right. Now explosive, is another story.
  21. The Hill rolls in this one and gets things going for a playoff run. Can't wait to see the PNG/BH game, that one will be epic. On a side not, it will be interesting to see who KPFan blames for their demise.
  22. Jasper by a bunch, to physical for Jacks.
  23. Always nice to be the biggest fish in the smaller pond.
