I really don't see anyway that this game is close. I'm at outsider who just loves high School Football, but based on the recent results, the talent in the programs and overall size advantage that PNG has, I just don't see it. No with that being said, Lumberton is always going to play you hard, so if the Indians go in here overconfident, then I can see it being close for a half too. I think PNG is on a mission this year, I think a District Championship and a playoff run are on the horizon.

Dayton better win, for many, many reason.

Usually the biggest physical jumps are made from 10th to 11th grade.

THAT IS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES

You obviously have not seen them play. The return of the QB and the Sophomore RB make a huge difference. And the new offense showcases the sure hands of the receiving corps. The defense is just good enough to slow people down and you are wrong, coaching makes a huge difference.

Newton will load the box to stop the running game and they are big enough and physical enough to do it. Diboll comes off the ball hard up front, but they will not be able to move the defensive line off the ball like they did against Crockett. Newton is more experienced than the young Crockett team and much more physical. Crockett failed to tackle the RB's on numerous occasions just because they are young and not strong enough. Newton will not have that problem. Diboll does not throw the ball well enough to put any pressure on the Newton secondary.

Yes, TW is better overall, but i think the Defensive Coordinators will be the determining factor. Whoever makes the defensive adjustments, calls the right pressure, jumps a route or bails at the right time will be the winner.

I understand your thinking, but have you seen them play? They are much, much improved. The return of the QB, the RB is a stud and they catch the ball well. The will put a scare into some people in the District. And yes, I know who is in there.

Now that I can see.

No way Jasper scores 56 against Silsbee, I hope.

Go to the game, take your youth group, pray before the game, have a Bible Study at halftime, then pray for thanks after the game. Sounds like a perfect outreach moment to me, we are all called to be Missionaries.

Never, ever, pick against the Stangs!! -
I really don't think that athleticism will be the determining factor in this game. This game will be decided on carrying out a game plan, making adjustments during the game, disciplined defense and execution. The team that does what they are coached to do the most consistently will win this one.

This one should be a shoot out.

Hardin wears them out, and gets revenge for last year. Larry has the Hornets rolling. They will surprise some people in District.
-
Not the Class that Code Red is supposed to represent. Coach Riordan would be very disappointed.

Good point and thank you for the clarification. But does familiarity breed contempt?

Tradition builds stadiums, Coaches and Cats win games.

Silsbee finds a way to get the win here, i think Newton is more affected by the layoff.

Those are just a few of the things he has been called around here. There are a select few who really believe he is going to take Hardin back to the playoffs this year. Larry Haynes is literally "worshiped" by some people in Hardin.
