  1. Ozen has a great defense. Very athletic and strong up front. They will give Crosby all they want.
  2. No way SC scores more than 24. Vidor defense is too stout. They will blitz like SC has not sceen. Pressure will make SC one demensional and the secondary will rally to the short passes. Vidor has very sure tacklers in the secondary and were second in the district in interceptions. Vidor is very underated. MQ is the real deal and the Pirate offensive line is the real thing.
  3. Sound, fundamental assignment defense will slow down the BH offense. I know its like Novocane & will eventually ear you down, but if Livingston can get a lead BH will panick.
  4. Nederland wins, but the kicking game of Dayton keeps it close. Dogs 28-Broncos 23
  5. Good guys always wear white & not that horendous stuff BH will trot out in. Excited to see a traditional downhill running game from both teams. This will be a blast from the past and a joy to watch. Big plays decide this one. Who has the best big play potential?
  6. Vidor game-TD pass called back on phantom offensive pass intereference early, pair of costly turnovers, and a couple of negative plays when Collins tried to be Houdini. On score game until late in the third quarter.
  7. This years team may not be as talented as last years team or even the 2010 team, but they have already done something last years team didn't do and that's make the playoffs. They won the close games that have mattered. They will also accomplish something the 2010 team did not and get out of the first round by winning tomorrow. This team just finds a way to get the job done. They played a GREAT Nederland team very close (in Nederland on Homecoming) and if not for a fumble on the goaline, a bad snap on a punt and a horrible free kick after the safety the outcome may have been different. Ad before you say it, I know all of those plays are part of the game and special teams are one important phase of the game. If Livingston can limit the mistakes and negative plays they have enough talent to win this game and many more. Team with fewest turnovers and fewest penalties will win this game.
  8. Easy to have 15 score when half your games are against teams who couldn't beat most of the JV teams in 20-4A.
  9. So true about the SC fans begging for respect when they have done nothing but beat up on little ole 19-4A. Dayton is not as good as they have been and BH is well, just the same ole Barbies. Looking for a strong showing this weekend by 20-4A. Nederland is salty and Vidor can play with anybody. Ozen proved last year they can get it going at the right time. Not sure 19-4A has been tested like 20-4A has.
  10. Livingston has 4 backs that can take it to the house. They spread it around and have used multiple backs to keep their athletes fresh because they all play defense as well. If this turns into a track meet the Lions win. Will be very interested to see how #40 likes being beat on every play instead of flowing with the zone blocking of 19-4A. Fun to hear how much the BH faithful have bought into the idea that Chevoski Collins is not as good as Sharp, Walter, Denny, Chambers or any of the great athletes in 19-4A. Delusional!!!
  11. Yea, that loss in '10 was painful. You guys seem to always make the plays necessary to win. That is a mark of a good team and a GREAT program, with a tradition of winning. Dayton has that. BH does NOT. They seem to find a way to lose the close ones. Like they did against Dayton this year. QB sneak for a 40 yard TD. Really??? Livingston has done just enough on both sides of the ball to win the ones they needed to to get in the playoffs. I think they continue with that formula and BH continues with the losing formula of not making the plays.
  12. Of course you do Dayton. You been drinking the Purple Cool-Aid and believe that 19-4A garbage. I predict a 3-1 victory for 20-4A in this match-up. Similar to last year when Dayton rode the back of their kicker and poor play calling by PNG to eek out the only win for 19-4A.
  13. Dayton & SC people need to retreat to their own threads if they don't have a comment on BH & Livingston. You guys can band together and break bread and sing Cum By Ya at your wake for 19-4A after the beat down 20-4A gives you this weekend.
  14. SC fans should not sleep on Vidor. Vidor is as PHYSICAL as any team in the state. They may not be as big as SC in sheer size, but they will bloody your lip. Should be an excellent match up. Vidor has more speed than most people think and do a great job on defense.
  15. Relaxed, no worries, I understand the concept of trash talk. Seems most BH fans are consumed with stats. Here is one that is very telling to me. Eagles opponents have a combined 39-51 record, Livingston opponents have a combined 52-47 record. Two common opponents are Dayton & Lumberton.  Both lost to Dayton and blew out Lumberton. One thing is for sure, both are physical football teams. Should be an old school smash mouth football game. The winning team will limit mistakes, team with fewest penalties and fewest turnovers will win this one.
  16. Overconfidence, that is the key word here. Seems that all the Barbies on here are very full of themselves, with absolutely NO foundation for their swagger. Could be a rude awakening for some come Friday.
  17. Smoking Baby, put down the pipe and the bong and just walk away slowly. You have had way too much, way too early. You are delusional if you think either team will win in a blow out. The Barbies have played three viable teams all season and lost to all three, but played each one close. Livingston has played six playoff teams, lost to five and played all pairly close. Both teams lost to Dayton in a relatively close game. Both teams blew out Lumberton. These are two evenly matched teams. Both play smash mouth football. This will be a hard faught, close game. It will probably turn on a special teams play, a turnover or one big play. Oh yea, and the tradition of loosing in the first round of the playoffs.
  18. Has anybody really tried to run right at BH? Seems most of 19-4A is zone based running attack.
  19. Injuries & suspensions are important. Makes a big difference when it is a teams best player. Losing Denny definitely made a difference in the BH/Dayton game. How is Denny doing???? Will he be back full speed for the playoffs?????
  20. Read somewhere that the Pirates are going to shut down the Lions, and that the Black Pearl offense is going to put up 66 like they did on Lumberton.
  21. Cougtalk, you have totally over-rated the difficulty of 19-4A. 19-4A is a lot like America, a dwindling middle class. Loaded at the top and an ever expanding LOWER class. Playing 3 quality opponents out of 8 district games does not prepare you for the playoffs. 20-4A is a more talented district top to bottom. Don't sleep on 20-4A. I'm not saying any 20-4A team will beat a 19-4A team in the playoffs, but all four of the match-ups will be competitive.
  22. Why does Vidor think they will beat Livingston so bad? Why does Vidor think they are better than any team they will face in the playoffs?
  23. Neither district will sweep the other. Maybe a 3-1 result, but not a sweep. Nederland can play with anyone, as can Vidor. I would think Livingston and LCM would match up well with BH and Crosby.
