1. Seems the Vidor faithful have gotten awfully quiet. They must be preparing the Pirate ship for Haloween or they are all working 24 hours straight to paint the field. I wish I had the money they spend of field paint over there.
2. Anxious to see the Quirante show. Montana right, Monatana left. Should be fun to watch.
3. This could be an instant classic. Two teams committed to playing smash mouth football. Both teams will probably have a trick or two up thier sleve and it might just come down to that. Vidor might need a fake punt like they did in the Ozen game. Vidor definitely has an advantage in the BoneYard.
4. Based on a Nederland, Vidor, Livingston, LCM finish.... I really don't think either district will sweep the other. Nedeland and Dayton will be a great match-up in D1, that game is a toss up in my opinion. Vidor will have a tough time with SC and their air attack, but Vidor is big, strong and physical and SC will have a tough time stopping the Pirates running game. If you haven't seen the slot-T then preparing for it is a nighmare. I think both D2 match-ups will be close games regardless of who they are. LCM and Livingston match up well with BH and Crosby.
5. If BH finishes 4th they will probably match-up with Livingston in the first round. Could be a very interesting game. It won't last long because both teams will run it 50 times.
6. Revenge is a dish best served cold  Old saying from the Mafiosi in Sicily. Tells that the best payback is the one that comes with planning, and that brings the most horrendous pain to your enemies. One must wait so he can really inflict pain to those who wronged him. Careful planing is necessary so your enemies will suffer terribly.
7. Livingston JV actually beat Central. Score was right, result was flipped. Livingston 40 Central 33 Could be a preview of tonight.
8. Nederland has one loss and that was to then #6 state ranked Angleton. BH can NOT beat Nederland this year, the Dogs D-Line and LB's are way too tough. And, the best pass defense is a pass rush and Nederland has a pass rush that is unmatched in the area. Smoking Baby, you need to take a reality check on Nederland. They have the best defense around and the only thing holding them back is consistency or maybe a real identity on offense.
9. QB is not the problem. He throws the ball well & runs the team with solid leadership skills. The offensive philosophy does not make the most of their talent. But, the problem is on defense. Can't stop anybody!
10. Silsbee is very talented and well coached. It all depends on if they are healthy and who they draw in the playoffs.
11. I think Ozen is better on offense and defense. But, LCM is coming in on a positive note and Ozen is coming off a loss. The kicking game may be the X-factor in this one and I give the edge to LCM. Bears in a close one. LCM - 31 Ozen - 28
12. BMTSoulja1, do you really think Ozen is going to kick a field goal to win this one???
13. Obviously you have not seen Livingston play this year.
14. Coachdaddy, that is a bold statement. But, you may be right. Only time will tell, but I really think this week will be as big a test, maybe bigger, than last week was for Big Ned. Livingston is much more balanced on offense than Vidor and has big play potential. Vidor almost big played them to a victory.
15. BMTSoulja, you are dead on. Central has not been doing what the Jaguars do best. I'm just afraid it may be too late. Unfortunately, I think the kids that need to step up for Central to win are already mentally in the GYM. The visions of success in basketball have taken the place of any desire they had to win on the gridiron. For Central to have had success this year in football they needed to start fast and they have failed.
16. Should be a very interesting match up. It is a contrast in styles, philosophies and demographics. Could play a major role in the 20-4A playoff race.
17. "Only way Livingston scores is if Ned's d-line lets them" "Saw Livingston against Silsbee and those fakes dont fool anybody" "One man show will be shut down" and so on...... We all know Ned has a great defense, but looking at the Livingston schedule they have probably played the toughest non-district schedule or close to it. Ned may get the edge in schedule with Angleton on there, but not by much, 5A College Park is as good as Angleton in my opinion.
18. Just a question to be pondered. If the Livingston offense is so bad then how did they score 42 last week? Just curious, maybe somebody in the know can shed some light on the subject.
19. Walter is a good coach and a great motivator. He will get the kids in Hardin to play hard for him. Heard he was bringing in a DC that could coach his rear end off too. They will be good, quickly.
20. Nederland and Vidor are at the top, no doubt about that. The next two spots are up for grabs. Ozen, Central, PNG and Livingston should fight it out for the final two spots. All four of these teams have question marks going into next season. Injuries and schedule (home/road) will also play a major role in who finishes in the money. Lumberton and LCM are both still a year away from contending. Nederland Vidor Central Livingston Ozen PNG LCM Lumberton
21. Not real sure I have ever heard a place get ripped as bad as Sheperd has on "the Old Coach." Is this place really that bad?
22. Has anyone put in a FOI request? Would be very interested to see who has applie for this position.
