That started with volleyball this past season. For volleyball, that left most playoff games on Thursday because of football so you definitely had to play your warm up game on Monday if you were going to play one.

Very true. Also, I stand corrected. UT beat three #1 seeds in 2023 as a #2 seed. I thought they were a #1 seed that year. VB tournament began in 1981. I believe A&M is the ninth team to sweep both matches in the Final Four. Second team to beat three #1 seeds. First team to do both. Super impressive run.

Didn’t want to say anything unless they won it, but that was the most impressive tournament run of a champion in VB history, possibly any sport. First VB team to beat three #1 seeds. Only other time I believe it was done was by Arizona men’s basketball in 1997. However, A&M beat a Nebraska team that was being talked about as possibly the best team ever, sweeping a Pitt team with the 2xNPOY that had not been swept all year, and sweeping a Kentucky team that had won 29 straight. They were playing elite on every level.

I would imagine mocks start coming out after they release the cutoff numbers. The past two realignments they have released the cutoff numbers on December 8th. Maybe we see them some time today.

I did not see them myself, but I was told Padilla predicted 376-566 for 3A. Cutoff last time was 545. Most people seem to think the number is going to drop pretty drastically and he has it going up pretty drastically (if what I was told is correct). It will be interesting to see. Maybe someone has seen the numbers and can put them out there. I think the last two realignments the numbers were released on December 8th, so maybe next Monday?

I was surprised by as well. I believe all of Orange County turned in lower numbers...according to what I saw on KOGT. I'm not seeing it on the site now, so he must have taken it down to update it.

Absolutely political. He was an up and coming rising star in the Republican Party with a big following…and a big number of them young voters. Oh, and a fantastic debater. I had already begun to think he was potential President candidate after Vance (if Vance is elected). I don’t know if that was the case, but it seemed to be shifting that direction. Two young kids growing up without their father for absolutely no reason.

Hmmm...Valdez gave up two homeruns on his curve balls. He had given up two homeruns on curve balls his previous 56 starts (if I remember that correctly)....it's like they knew it was coming.

Bryant has a third son as well. I coached with him the year he was at HF. He is extremely passionate about basketball. I don’t know the other guys, but even without his sons I think he would be a good candidate.
