1. Closer than expected. Turn it up PN-G! It hurts to say that  ;D

 3. May want to put Michael Shaw from Nederland on this list. He caught 6 balls for 73 yds and 2 TDs in his 1st Varsity game against a strong WO-S opponent.
Fairly easy against Friendswood? Never 'easy' when a team plays 'up' against a bigger school. Although I do think they will win, I don't think it will b a cake walk. WO-S 22 Friendswood 17
 5.
There's no shame in LM losing to Terry.  There's no shame of JT losing to Lufkin.  Just early season slipups.  I bet if Aledo gets S'ville in the playoffs, it will be a different story.
I agree. Lufkin is a 5A power house. No surprise that JT lost to them.
 6. Not much respect for Lamar Cons. They lost to College Park who is a 5A program from The Woodlands. LC always puts a good team on the field. I still like Brenham in a close one 27-22
 7.
Vidor after this weeks game they deserve the pick
I agree. They deserve a little more respect. Vidor 26-14
 8. Nederland's confidence rises after beating a talented team in week one. No let down here. Big Ned wins 30-7.

Congrats dogs! And big ups to Carson Raines who commanded his team and made big play after big play late in the game while limping across the field and what looks likes a sprained left wrist. Great effort!
Was he walking on his hands? I was thinking the same thing-ha! ;D

I thought Ned defense was supposed to be solid, maybe first game jitters or can they not defend the speed??
No excuses but I believe two crucial players (pryor and brown) are out.
One of those runs was for 53 yds. It's not as if he's rushed for 200 or 250! 133 yds is about average for a good running back/running QB.

Sooner or later they're gonna break one, and they just did with that 53 harder. Just hope this one doesn't get out of hand...
We've done that before, and it's not satisfying. In [glow=red,2,300]1988[/glow] and 1989, we outplayed WO-S for 20 min and 39 min, only to lose both of those games. I'm not sure what you mean by winning the 1st half, but from my experience, that does no good.
I know we were up big in 88 at half (by alot if my memory is right)Then a skunk got lose on the field and it was a 2hr half...and they scored like 30pts second half...WOW( I THINK THAT WAS D. HOOKS PET SKUNK :D...You might have to help me on this roughrider
Ya Bubba there was a skunk on the field, and it was also their Homecoming. They also turned off the lights for their half time routine. It was about a 30 minute delay to get them warmed up and back on for us to play. We were up 20-7 at half. The ball fell off the tee while kicking off the 2nd half, and hit one of our front guys in the back. They jumped on it and turned the momentum towards them. Final score was 40-20 or 41-20? We led 36-35 the following year with :44 remaining. A 79 yard bomb left us stunned with :36 tics on the clock. WO-S won 42-36. BTW-That was the only pass completed by WO-S the entire game. WO-S seemed to always find a way to beat us, but this yr does sound promising!

I'll update scores. Will be great exposure for them.
What tournament are they playing in?
I believe it's called Invitational 12? Lost by one (again) to Houston Franchize. Then beat Franchize 3T (their 15U team) by 18. Next game at 7:30
Correction: The tournament was called Houston Top 12 Challenge. For more information, go to www.thebrooksports.com
 17. MC Flight played two more games today in the Houston Top 12 Challenge: They lost to Houston Franchize (same team they lost to yesterday by one) 67-45.  I was informed that about half of this team is from Christian Life (private school in Houston who played in the Bulldog Classic last season in Nederland). Unless you were at the game, you have no clue of what you are talking about regarding their talent level (BlueDove). Anyway, there were recruiters from TX Tech, Miss ST, Miss Valley, UNT, N. Carolina, and a couple of others. Flight played better than yesterday, but lost by 22 vs. 1. Franchize was on fire from 3-land, and they had a big front court when they (rarely)missed. Two kids were 6'8", and two others were 6'6". Flight won the third place game against The Houston Celtics 89-71. They are a 17U team-not sure where these kids go to school. Probably some small school similar to HF  :o (cheap shot at BlueDove). Probably would have reached 100, but they started a running clock after Flight extended their lead to 26 about midway through 2nd half. Great job MC Flight, I enjoyed coaching y'all this weekend! Good luck to each one of you.
