Great game that went back and forth. Brenham looks to be the 4 seed now and they will be a competitive draw for the 1 seed in District 9. Top 4 in this District are pretty good.

Huntsville defeats Brenham 39-36 in a barn burner. Brenham had a 41 yard FG attempt as time expired but it was wide right.

No doubt. After the 35-34 game with New Caney, I figured this would have been a decent game. Montgomery’s offense should have been better, but I guess this one got out of hand early. I don’t expect to see Montgomery playoff bound this year.

Tough deal for both teams on the 2 hour rain delay. You wonder how it affected them. Play restarts with Longview at midfield. They throw 3 passes for 0 yards and turned it over on downs. I thought this was the year for Longview. They were shutdown in the 2nd half. They did have a costly fumble in Aledo territory. Congrats to Aledo for making it to State again.
