Yes, Crosby has gotten several big plays in this one. If they can continue to do that in the 2nd half, they will have a chance to win today.

Marshall wins 32-27. -
There is a 4A game tonight. Only one game on Saturday.
-
Pretty good article. Crosby will probably need a few of those “chunk” plays to win this one.
-
Huntsville is the Home team
-
Crosby/Huntsville.
-
Surprised no comments thus far. Troy 10-1 vs. Crockett 9-2. This looks to be a really good game. Have to go with Troy in a close one.
-
This one could go either way. Ignore the records.

I’ve seen them play several times and I do follow that team. The QB couldn’t run. Sorry I didn’t research every detail of every game this season before I commented. The stats really don’t matter.
-
The Huntsville defense has carried the load this season for sure with the offense dealing with key injuries. Huntsville is also playing with a lot of confidence now at this point, so this should be a really good game.
-
Ok, well I stand corrected. Maybe it was the very first game that the QB was injured. He missed a non District game, must have been PNG. Supposedly they weren’t going to play him until district started, but apparently he did play against CS. Long time ago. The point is the Hornets appear to finally have everybody back for the playoffs. Most of their impact players are seniors and were on the team last year. I’m not predicting a blow out, but I do think that both sides of the ball will do enough and Huntsville advances.
-
Just to clarify, the Huntsville QB was hurt in the first half of the 2nd game of the season against PNG. It was an ankle injury. He missed the College Station game, and then played about 4 District games. He clearly was not 100% and the backup QB played the last 2 District games. The main running back has also missed a lot of games, so yes the offense has struggled to stay on the field at times. All those season stats cited in an earlier post won’t mean anything on Saturday. The Hornets appear to finally be healthy again and it showed last week against Marshall.

Crosby is playing well, and I appreciate your optimism. Who are the best defenses in Crosby’s district? Maybe Barbers Hill, or PNG. Crosby scores 7 on BH and 13 on PNG. Yet, the Coogs are going to drop 42 on Huntsville. The most points Huntsville has given up all year is 29 and they have played 6 playoff teams. Most likely, the Huntsville DL will be living in the Crosby backfield and Code Red will be looking to make a Code Blue. Huntsville wins this one.

Three 5A top seeds playing at home have lost tonight. This one is the most surprising.
-
They got their QB and RB back. This team is ready to roll. Should be the best 4 seed in the State. Hoping for a 3rd round rematch with FB Marshall.
-
Won’t get 70 next week.
-
Lamar wins 48-43 over Lindale. Good game.
-
Depends how far you want to drive. If you’re looking for a competitive game, the Lumberton game should be a close game. Crockett game maybe not.

They have in softball. I don’t know about football.

86 Teams make UIL Football Playoffs with losing Records

I remember that year. Jasper tied Huntsville in the opening game that season. Huntsville beat Hebert 16-8 in the first round on their way to winning State. Those winner take all years left a lot of good teams at home. Some good Navasota teams stayed home too. -
Yes, Consol has a couple of D1 receivers, but I think it’s unlikely that Marshall loses that matchup.
-
Well, they weren’t going to win anyway.
-
Huntsville wins 65-0.
-
58-0 in the 4th Qtr
-
37-0 in the 2nd Qtr. This game was 84-0 last year.
