1. Deweyville might feel optimistic playing against one of these defenses.

I saw some film and they look like Manor in green jerseys. I think it's gonna be a great game.
I don't think you can say that the District is necessarily weak in comparison to others.  Their may be some average to poor teams, but the worst team in 18-4A could beat the bottom 3 in 19-4A all day long.  Uh....I believe your worst team was beat by one of the bottom three in 19-4A this year.........
Crosby didn't put 63 on anybody in the district, and the 18-4a team they did that to was competing for a playoff spot until late in the season. Magnolia West would finish behind KP with the bottom three in 19-4a
Magnolia West beat KP 42-19 last year. Mag West would finish in front of KP this year.  I promise. I said after the very 1st game this year that Willis would not seriously compete for a playoff spot.  That was before Crosby dropped 63 on them.  They finished 2-8, so I'm not sure how you define "competing for a playoff spot until late in the season".  They did start District 1-0 cause they opened with Caney Creek.  Whoopie-Doo I'm not saying that 18-4A's playoff teams are better than 19-4A's playoff teams, but the 18-4A non playoff teams are absolutely better.
Like you said, they beat them last year. Magnolia West was pretty decent last year, they just happened to get smoked by Dayton, but hey that happens to the worst of us. About 7 weeks into the season I was reading Willis had a chance, I knew they wouldn't make it either but it was what it was. We tried to scrimmage Mag. West but our players kept running up and down the field so I guess they just abandoned the game situation part. You stay at home with four district losses here and they would surely lose to all four 19-4a playoff teams and play KP for 5th. I'm just saying I would take my 19-4a boys in that one because at least they were competitive, Mag. West was just big and slow.
Willis mathmatically had a playoff chance with 3 games left.  Of course, Humble did too with only two games left.  It wasn't ever going to happen.
Ah, you are correct.  The 21-20 barn burner that New Caney won in the season opener.  I think Caney Creek wins the rematch.
 5. I think the teams are evenly matched.  The running back for Manor that ran for 254 yds against Connally scares me a bit.  But, I won't be surprised either way on who wins.

They probably should have beaten Brenham but mistakes and turnovers generally appear at critical times.  Huntsville can certainly win this game, but it all comes down to making plays.
I believe this. ;D
Not sure if they would have beat us, but we only win by 3 instead of 10, or  maybe we see overtime.  We had fumbles also.  The thing is, we recovered all of ours and most of theirs.
Well, there was a bad center snap on a punt attempt that Brenham scored a TD on. Then the Cubs kicked a field goal two minutes later after the Huntsville QB fumbled.  And finally, after the Hornets fought back and took a 21-17 lead midway through the third quarter, Brenham recovers a fumble in the Huntsville end zone to give the Cubs the lead for good.  Just typical Huntsville errors (that Brenham doesn't do) that I had already predicted would happen before the game anyway.  Just sayin.

 9. I lean with 18-4a because I'm kind of a homer too.  The smart play may be on Manor and Connally.  I think both games will be close though.
 10. WOS has a pretty easy road to this matchup.  Navasota has to get past Jasper and either Coldspring/LaMarque.  Navasota better stay focused.
 11. Brenham wins, Mag West gets killed, Huntsville and Montgomery games are probably a toss-up, but I'll lean with 18-4A.
 12. China Spring has been able to put up some points, so I'll give them 14.  Rattlers 44-14.

I think Livingston will give us all we want as well, But i keep hearing the don't have a good Defense. If that is true then that will be the difference in this game.
Keep talking until Friday, your talk will change believe me. ;D
Someone has to talk to keep this crawling thread alive. I don't know jack about Livingston except for what info. I can find like...... Livingston has 2071 total yards for the season while BH has 3686 yards Livingston has 1528 rushing yards for an average of 5.27 YPC while BH has 2973 Rushing yards for an average of 6.76 YPC Livingston has thrown for 543 yards at 12.07 YPC while BH has thrown for 713 yards for 16.58 YPC. Livingston has had the tougher over all schedule and thier like opponents are Dayton and Lumberton which Livingston lost to Dayton 28-13 while BH Lost to Dayton 13-6 (I think both of our starting QB's were out against Dayton) We Both Beat Lumberton ...Livingston did 55-14 BH did 58-8... Outside of that tell me more ;)
I will tell you more.  BH is racking up all those yards against powerhouse teams such as King, KP, Porter, Humble, New Caney, and Lumberton.  They outscored those teams by an average of 48-4.  Plus they played a team from Mexico.  Livingston did play Lumberton, but all the other teams on their schedule were at least average or better.  So, throw out the stats.  Still a toss-up game.
 14. I'm just saying that Livingston has played a much tougher 10 game schedule, even with their victories.  BH's 7 wins were against horrible competition.  Although, they did play tough in the 3 games they lost.  Still an even matchup to me even though BH's crappy district doesn't help to prepare them week in and week out.
 15. Nederland, Vidor, Dayton, Silsbee, and 5-A College Park.  You be the judge.
 16. BH only played 3 games all year against tough competition and lost all 3.  Livingston has played a very tough schedule and I think that will better prepare them for this game.  Pretty even matchup, but I'll lean with Livingston.
 17. I don't see a 28 point win here, but I think Brenham gets its done.  I'll take the 31-14 prediction.
 18. Congrats to Deweyville.  They will easily advance to the 2nd round.
 19. Magnolia played everybody tough this year except Brenham.  Most of the district games tonight didn't mean anything. The 18-4a playoff teams were pretty much as expected at the beginning of the year.
 20. Huntsville 44  Willis 13.  Final Mag West 34  Waller 17. Final
 21. New Waverly 63 Hemphill 6.  Late 4Q
 22. Huntsville 44. Willis 13.  End 3Q
 23. Everybody knew Dayton was way overrated.  Been waiting on this game to prove it.
 24. New Waverly leading 35-6 at Half
 25. Huntsville 21  Willis 7.  Half
