Derrick Geatreaux (HJ) - started in rightfield this year as a sophmore... will be a junior next year... good hitter as well... He'll be really good... but i'd have to agree and say Hart is the top returning...

i saw the 7 on 7 video on the news... im in there one time like really far away... i saw HJ-Hawks25 in there like twice i think...

i could see them maybe pulling out a 3rd place finish in football and basketball...

i think HJ has a pretty good staff... (maybe not the best, but up there fairly high)... they went from being counted out all year to going 2 rounds into the playoffs... they went from not even considered a possible playoff team at the beginning of the year to making the playoffs as the third team in one of... if not the toughest district in the state in 3A....(the 2 teams over them BC - regional finalists and Jasper - state champs...)... i'd say Jasper probably has the best, but i'd have to throw Kirkland and the HJ crew in there somewhere...

on one topic you were saying how 1A basketball is a joke...

i did that one summer ;D...

at HJ we have anywhere from 35 - 45 people a day... some people slack off and dont show up everyday... we workout in the field house and then do agilities on the practice field and on the track... i've gone everday and its paying off... i would have worked out a lot even if i hadn't done the camp, but its more beneficial if your in the camp... because most kids dont know many workouts, and theres not always coaches up there to help... i'd have to say that its helping me out a lot...

i dont think so... if its true i haven't heard that yet... i dont know why he wouldn't still have 2 years...

he has certain workouts for us to do... upper body days we have... - pullups - bench press - incline - bent over rows lower body days we have... - powerclean - clean pulls - squat - military press - shoulder combos wednesday is biceps and triceps... we do... - Dumbell curls - barbell curls - dips - incline curls - pull downs - kick backs there are certain percentages and certain reps for each workout...

you may be right... the chance of HJ beating Ozen is slim-to-none, but my point was that its not always true that a lower classification cant beat a higher classification team...

your comparing not state champions in lower classifications to a higher classification State Champion... where in the case of HJ vs Ozen... its a lower class state championship against a higher class Runner-up... I think that LaMarque (4A Divison 2 football state champions) would have a good shot at beating Cypress Falls (5A Divison 2 football Runner-ups)... i do agree that very rarely do you have a team good enough to compete against higher classification state tournament teams, but dont say NEVER...
