this is the second sport this year (the other was basketball) where two teams from 21-3A played each other for a regional championship... i agree with SVille about this being one of the toughest districts in all sports... whoever makes it out of this district in any sport usually has a good chance at a state championship...

why is it that the subject always changes from Basketball to another sport on here... it doesnt matter how anyone does in football on this forum this is the basketball forum... lets try this... Baseball... HJ went to playoffs Golf... HJ has a bunch of state championships (little down this year though) and why is it that people are trying to take away from their state championship??? that is a great achievment... think about how many people in the state win one of those compared to how many people play each year... there are 6 state champ teams... each with about 10-20 players... so thats like around 60-120 players ... there are tons of schools in the state with 10-20 players that will never experience that... HJ did win the state championship... so what if they didn't do it in football... did anyone else in our district do that either??? the topic was over basketball leave it there please...

i dont think BC will do very good next year... there are just too many powerhouse teams in this district... the top 4 will most likely (in my opinion and in no particular order) be HJ, Silsbee, Wos, Jasper... then HF, BC, OF... unless BC just suprises everyone i'd say they'll finish somehwhere around 4th - 6th place... i'd say 5th or 6th most likely... the way i see this district coming out would look something like this... 1. HJ or Silsbee 2. HJ or Silsbee 3. WOS or Jasper 4. WOS or Jasper 5. BC or OF 6. BC or OF 7. HF something like that... 1st and 2nd will be close... 3rd and 4th will be close... but who knows... BC or OF could pull an upset and take that 3rd playoff spot over WOS and Jasper...

my favorite football stadium in the area is Silsbee's... very nice... my favorite baseball field would be at Barbers Hill... Basketball... i dont know which one is the best, but i really like the HJ gym... it may not be the best for playing in but there is a great atmosphere in there with the HAWK HECKLERS!!! its always packed and loud... I also think that Ozen has a pretty good gym...

thats exactly what i was gonna say... i would give it to one of these 2 guys... both contribute a lot to their teams...

...what happened... that stinks... how do they go from winning 7-0 in the 3rd or 4th to losing 14-11... thats bad... just means we have to sweep em in games 2 and 3...

dang... they gave up 5 runs in 2 innings.. that stinks... i hope they dont blow that lead late in the game...

what time did it start... im gonna call someone in a sec and try to find out wats going on...

lol... yeah that was cool... and that game they were talking about over the christmas break that he was at... he got ejected from for saying some innapropriate stuff about a ref's mustache...

this is a great post... right on target... both are very good teams and programs... HJ came out on top... both teams will be good for years to come and both will compete for next years district championship... this arguing needs to stop... theres nothing anyone can do except wait for next year and see how it plays out...

Roby is like 6'5" i think... he might play center next year... Weldon and Fontenot will also be big contributers next year...

are you joking???... we may have lost donahoe but we still have a good team... several players returning that played in the state tournament as well as some players that will come up from J.V. and contribute... it will be a close 1st and 2nd race between HJ and Silsbee... with WOS or Jasper following in 3rd and 4th...if anything i would say Silsbee is losing more than HJ... Silsbee is losing Harper (their main scorer) and their big guys... HJ will have next year... 1. Burell 2. Bernard 3. Fontenot 4. Lil Steve 5. Sungren 6. Payne 7. Weldon 8. Mcneely 9. Ricossa 10. Roby We are anything but down... i see another district championship and maybe another trip to austin next year...

i know of 3 HJ freshmen that went...

No HJ's freshmen won district out right... they only had one lost and that wasn't a district game... and the J.V. team for HJ got 3rd in district... its gonna be close the next couple of years...

well it gets u in good shape... and if u do bleacher miles its pretty good..

Orangfield also had a good freshmen team... I bet some of them could step up and play varsity next year...

if 89 is wright then they wont make the playoffs... i dont see a team making playoffs with a 3-4 district record...

wow... i cant imagine only having 9 players... congrats to them on winning district...
