HF had 1 ejection i believe, but should have had at least 2 or 3.. cheap shots and punches thrown all night by HF.. [/quote] No.. my eyes are fine, i know what was going on, and theres no way i was the only one who saw it.. Now i should restate what i said, because it wasn't necisarily every HF player, but quite a few were doing it..

Sorry, but a HF win by 1 would be a major stretch.. a win by 20 is not gonna happen for HF

They do have to play on the same field, but if your offensive strength is quick athletes who run and cut and aren't able to do that on a wet field then it can affect your game.

I am definately pulling for HJ and believe they easily get the win, but hopefully HF makes it interesting for a while at least.. The situation at HF is sad and hopefully they get their football program turned around in the next year or two.. Close till end of 1st then HJ pulls ahead and wins by alot

With the scenario that you have setup here LAZEEK, this is where the points stand as of right now between HJ, OF, and BC. BC +10 1 game HJ -3 2 games (finished) OF -7 1 game Doesn't look good for HJ. If Orangefield defeats BC by 14 points to push BC to a -4, it would allow Orangefield to move up to a +7. Looks as though HJ has to defeat either WOS or Silsbee to get in or have BC lose to HF which will not happen. You're right AAW.. point system doesn't look too good for HJ.. guess we'll just have to win the next 3 so it doesn't come down to the points 8)

Like she said its not based on head to head but actually I do think ec is better than hj at this point. EC is far better than when we played you'll. I know its not based on head to head as i said, but i was just curious.. I will give EC credit and say that they have come along great and have a very good team... But so has HJ.. That was a good game between HJ and EC.. HJ just barely managed to get the win.. I look for both teams to do great things.. Best of luck to both with the rest of district (and hopefully playoffs for BOTH)... Another curiosity question here Bucof2010... If HJ and EC were to play again.. say next friday.. what you think? I'd definately say another close one with either team being able to pull out a win depending on who wanted it more and executed better...

Anyone got stats for HJ?? These guys in particular... Number 54 Trevin Sechler - Senior DT Number 10 Nick McCown - Senior FS Number 46 Luke Walters - Senior LB 28-21 Win over OF.. OF held to half of their average points per game HJ's entire defense came to play, but these guys stood out

I think some other games that have already happened that i would have to rank up there would be Memorial over North Shore Central over Vidor Silsbee over WOS (just because it was WOS's first district loss)

I realize it is not based on a head to head prediciton outcome.. but HJ DID beat EC earlier in the season.. Still believe that EC is the better team by ranking them 9th? Just curious..

I agree, no run away here.. Everyone in this district is fairly close with one exception.. BC beat HJ close.. Silsbee beat WOS and BC close.. HJ beat OF close.. gonna be an interesting district race.. just hoping HJ comes out on the good side of it.. Silsbee 35 OF 28

They got beat. H2O and a soft field happened last week. Not able to cut and slash as much. That and we played a pretty solid BC group that took care of the ball I agree, The weather hurt HJ last week against BC.. HJ put it on BC in the first, but BC came to play in the 2nd half.. BC is a solid team.. No offense to BC (im not saying this as an excuse) but on a dry field i think it would have been much closer and HJ probably came away with the win (wet field pretty much took away alot of HJ's offensive threat in Turner not being able to run like normal on the wet field).. But can't change it now.. Great win over OF, now we gotta take care of HF and then WOS and Silsbee

another scorned little girl living through other teams... we may not be as good as previous years but were good enough to stomp a mudhole in the rest of the district. oh, silsbee by 28 well when WOS gets 3rd place or doesn't even go to the playoffs this year dont be saying it was luck from the other teams! WOS isn't getting better like what people have said... they're not the big dog anymore... i wouldn't be suprised if they didn't make the playoffs this year or got 3rd place at best, tbh... 33, if you go back and read some of my previous posts i pretty much agree with what youre saying, i think we will be fortunate to get the 3rd spot if any if we continue to play the way we are. were not playing well at all and if something doesnt change we may find ourselves at home come playoff time. i just really dont see why you think bc deserves any respect, seriously who have they played or what have they done so far to "deserve" anyones respect? theyve played no one and the teams they have played they couldnt keep out of the endzone! right now wos is still better than any team youve seen this year and silsbee is a beast. i think the biggest game for wos in district will be the last game of the year against the cats! the next few weeks will tell the tale for bc, keep your mouth closed and beat a few quality teams and the respect you desire will come. lol then whats youre excuss for WOS NOT shutting BC out the last few years?? the 0-10 season we scored... last season be did as well... big woop, i know... but the fact is that if you count that towards us the WOS SUCKED the past 3 years cause we scored on yall... so think what you want... and HJ was getting "respect" and we beat them pretty comfortably... so if they were getting it why shouldn't we? if i recall correctly-wos vs. bc the last couple of years 2007- 73-0 2008- 66-7 these are scores you should be proud of! history 0-16(this may be worse) vs.wos u have NEVER in the history of your school beat wos and that will not change this year! also, wasnt the cards being shutout at halftime last night? i dont call that winning comfortably! never said i was proud of those scored... and was 73-6 in 07, but the point was that any team can score on another team... and i say winning the game by 2 possessions is winning comfortably... HJ leading until about 4 or 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.. How could you say that is winning comfortably? Take away the last play of the game where BC got a pic and ran it back the score is 14-10.. That is in no way winning comfortably..

Hipocrits coming out like crazy.. all wearing cardinal shirts too... For a year i've heard excuses about why HJ beat BC last year.. i make one statement and everyone has a problem with it... It was a lucky pass, i was there.. there were 2 BC recievers and 2 HJ defenders in the area and everyone was within a foot from that ball... Also that score was off of a offensive bad snap by HJ's offense that put our defense in a bad spot.. BC started on the 30 yard line.. HJ's defense was on the field for what seemed like most the game.. Also, ( I know i'll get alot more junk for this but) the officiating was pretty terrible.. a BC player threw a shot after the whistle and they offset it by saying HJ's player did as well.. 2-3 seconds was run off the clock after every play during HJ's last drive.. BC's reciever lined up off the line, which put them in an illegal formation and tried to jump on the line at the last second and went across the line before the ball was snapped and no flag.. BC was offsides on defense several times with no calls.. Blocks in the back and holding that prevented sacks.. The list goes on and on...

BC got lucky to put up 20 points.. One TD was on a pass that went through three peoples arms and some reciever running by happened to just be in the right place at the right time.. wasn't even intended for him.. LUCKY! Then.. a hail mary with like 7 seconds left that got picked off and ran back... take those 2 away then its 10-8 HJ How anyone could say that BC's offense in anyway dominated HJ's defense.. I do not know...
