this should be the worst year for parking. I thought I saw in the original plans (we know how they've changed a bunch) that when the old senior wing is torn down it'll be a nice sized parking lot for the stadium. The old building where they work on the buses was also going to be used for parking. So in short there is a little light at the end of the tunnel as long as those plans werent scaled back.

Port Neches-Groves is bad (and will be worse this year) but Vidor has some of the worst available parking IMO.

I think they're smart for only pushing for a new press box and turf at the existing stadium. With all the rising prices of materials I doubt the people of Nederland would have passed a bond with a entire new stadium on it. With the all the crying we hear about the upgrades to Indian Stadium right now I'm surprised ours passed. That's just my opinion and good luck, I hope it passes.

Yeah Joe, If I was a bettin' man, I woulda bet the whole farm on that chip shot. Nueman probably paid him off...what do ya think? He made most of those but that was a little more than a "chip shot"....expecially with mid county madness and a playoff berth on the line.

How do the 3 schools & the fans feel about sharing a stadium over each having their own. I know Ozen fans are probably very happy to get out of Cardinal Stadium but Central and West Brook had their own places, West Brooks right in their backyard. Would they have preferred to do some bigtime upgrades to the existing stadiums or is everyone content with moving into the new digs together? Just a topic starter, and im curious.

with the new BISD Athletic Complex getting built whats going to happen to Durley & Zaharias Stadiums? JV games? Practice fields? Torn down?

that "complex" was awesome but the stadium itself isnt overwhelming. The weight/conference/team/locker/banquet 3 story monster room was unbelievable and is what makes it. Very nice.

why not let them all go????......4 teams is and always will be about one thing----->$$$$$ Its is and always will be a bad decison to me no matter how many 4th place finishers end up playing or winning the state championship. Its almost as bad as having big and small school "champions".....pathetic.

If its Woodard, we're getting a good coach. Hes not a "name brand" guy to many but the guy has a lot of experience and should do a fine job given enough time.

Lamar messed up when they decided to build the Montagne where it currently sits. They should have demolished McDonald Gym (or renovated it to a practice facility) and build the the Montagne in that area. Sure the parking would have been awful and changes would have had to been made to maybe the post office but the arena would have been smack in the middle of campus and the atmosphere would have been awesome.Then they could have used the current area it sits on for parking at Cardinal Stadium. Just my thoughts.

When they were showing video of Bobby Phills there was a clear 10 seconds of footage of Southern playing Lamar at the Montagne. Saw a cool B95 logo hanging off the scorers table. ;D
