cool but Id match Lamar against #18-#25 any day of the week. I guess receiving votes is a good start.

Most of these thoughts have already been discussed but what the heck. 1. As stated by numerous people, the crowd was great. Its obvious that the team feeds off the big/loud crowds so I hope this becomes the standard again. 2. The student body was AWESOME last night.......keep showing up guys/gals. 3. CT has stepped up bigtime since the loss of Barrow. Besides a few questionable decisions he was nails again last night. 4. See above and insert Hopkins 5. That woman without a doubt should have been ejected. 6. #14 for NW looked like Napolean Dynomite 7. Harold Mann did an awesome job but the sound system moved up to my personal #1 need on the Montagne Center "wishlist" 8. 2 of the 3 officials last night were the worst in the conference. One thought 8000 people were there to watch him blow his whistle and the other was only good for bad bad bad calls. The jump-ball late in the game was lets just say.....a very bad call. Most games this season have ended around 9. At 9 last night there were 10 mins left and both teams were in the double bonus. 9. Visiting teams cheerleaders in the Montagne? What the .............. 10. This team has a postseason feel to it, doesn't it! oh 1 more: 11. I feel a little bad for Nwevo. He seems like a great guy but hasn't seen the court in many games. I wish they would have played a little on his last homecoming game in front of a full Montagne.

i saw myself in that photo! ;D seriously guys, I titled this thread "wish list" for a reason....wishing. Im happy with the Montagne and know that for the Southland Conference there is no comparison from any other school.

Here's my top 3: 1. New Scoreboard. The old one was awesome for its time but the time has come for a new one. 2. New sound system. An upgrade is needed 3. New PA announcer This may cure what flaws I'm thinking exist in the sound system, or vice-versa. Either way I cant hardly understand anything the guy is saying.

Im not trying to be mr. negative but isnt Mardi Gras Sat night? I will be at the Montagne but MG could hurt attendance a bit. I hope Im dramatically proven wrong because atmospheres like the last home game against SH are great.

announced at 3600??? I have a hard time believing that number is correct. The Montagne was nearly 1/2 full with a large number of students representing. I am a season ticket holder and have been to every home game this season except 1 and that was the loudest, most attended game of the season by far and it wasnt even close. I saw a lot of new faces in tonights crowd and we were all given a treat. Oh yea.....great game tonight guys and I hope Nabors is OK!

at the point of the game when Lamar was down 14 points in the second half, UV was shooting around 72% for the game. Think about that number................72 freakin %. Frankly LU was lucky not to be down more than that at that point. Once UV cooled off a little the game ended like it should have. UV was a very well coached team that plays an offense that suits their personel, and when they can shoot at that high of a % they'll beat a lot of teams. Bottom line is LU won and they're on the right track.

I also heard the university wanted the band and student sections on the visitors side towards the end due to failing attendance on the visitors side, but that shouldnt have been needed against McNeese in the last game ever.

of Cardinal Stadium?? I noticed they werent on the pressbox side on the pinned video vs McNeese. Did they always play on that side or was that a unique situation?

oh and one more thing about the above mentioned stadium, it cost 42 million to build Gerald J Ford Stadium in Dallas in 1999.

Wanted to start another thread for ideas on what the perfect LU Stadium would be like, somewhat realistically speaking. I saw some pics the other day of a stadium that would IMO be perfect for Lamar. Realistically without huge private donations theres no way Lamar has the money to build a stadium like this but a simular design with a smaller pressbox with our existing hill would work.

I am a Lamar basketball season ticket holder and was wondering the specifics of the DQ Chicken Dinners when the team scores 100. Is it as simple as leaving the Montagne and pulling up at ANY local DQ and ordering the meal? I live in Port Neches does the DQ there participate? How long do we have to claim the meal after the game? Just curious, thx.

What about Beaumonts own Gary Gibbs? He has the Billy Tubbs/ou connection as well.

Before reading this understand that I am for anything that helps Lamar...... but why does the basketball team need a new practice facility? Whats wrong with them practicing in the Montagne or even McDonald Gym? I guess what Im trying to ask is what are the advantages of having a practice only facility when they already practice in the arena? Getting a new location for the football stadium would really be nice. The Chemical plant directly behind the visitors bleachers cannot be a good recruiting tool. Plus, the current Cardinal Stadium would make one heck of a parking lot for the Montagne.

its cold, windy and the rain doesnt look like its going to let up, but my butt is leaving for Stallworth in 2 hours. Who else is braving the conditions?????

i feel ya and agree Proud......but the always awesome atmosphere suffers. Thats all I was getting at.

I wake up this AM to all this cold rain and wish our game was being played in the comforts of the Dome. Its a shame they will not let HS teams still play there, it cant be in that bad of shape. I hate travelling to Reliant and seeing that place just rotting away. Ill be at Stallworth tonight no matter what but there are a lot of folks in town for the holiday that are now going to sit it out now because of the rain......that STINKS!!
