the PNG vs Lumberton game was a good one. EC vs Buna has to be considered one of the front runners.

everyone that likes the elements and Rice Stadium, Port Neches played a playoff game at Robertson Stadium in Houston a few years back and it also wasnt a bad place to catch a ballgame.

yes thats Nederlands "home away from home" but it still doesnt compare to a double or triple header at the Astrodome....and its not even close.

correct, but PNG has vastly improved from last season to now. Go watch tape of the LCM (expecially LCM), Dayton, & Central games from last season and it'll tell the story.

man I know its a homer pick but PNG has to be in this conversation. We lost to Nederland and got pasted by LCM, Dayton & Central last season. This year really noone outside of Port Neches or Groves had the Indians in their top 3 in 22-4A coming into the season yet here we sit undefeated in district and playing Friday night for an another outright district crown. The boys have avenged 3 of the above losses in convincing fashion. PNG is a very improved club from last season.

Its my understanding that they are taking down the stands, tearing up the track and starting anew. If thats wrong I know someone in the know will correct me.

one more thing.... scooter, the guys above are right. The only reason 22-4A had the coin-flip fiasco was due to the hurricane rita shortened district season. If I remember we only had 5 district games that year, so without head to head matchups of all the teams they went with the coin "flop".

If PNG wins out, they would be undefeated in district....I think you meant Nederland, Dayton and Lumberton.

I have noticed the rash of 60 point games BC has allowed this season. Bevo, have teams been throwing on you guys late in games or are they running the football? Being 3A there arent too many subs to bring in late in games but the play calling can always be taken down a notch. How are these teams putting up so many points each week?

they should have left it all alone. Having French, BCP, South Park & Hebert was always cool. There was a PA/MC District and a BMT district that always met in the first round of the playoffs.
