Coach Sutherland's greatness goes far beyond the basketball court.  Like so many parents, I'm very glad my two sons played for him and Coaches Davis and Lee.

Too many turnovers.  Sophomore Mayes fouled out-- did great against those NBA bodies.  Sounds like they have too many horses: they just subbed in a 6'8" kid who hasn't played yet.

Really enjoying Lazeek and PoppaBear's call.  Wish we were at the game.  Sounds like JY's size and athleticism is impressive.  HJ's got heart, though.  Only down 6 at the half after that disastrous start to the 2nd Q...  I like our chances.

This reaffirms my suspicion WLV would've finished third in 21-3A this year.

I hope the kids will shoot a thousand 3s and 100 free throws daily; hit the weights, run stands and jump rope and bench-jump in weights; play summer ball; and read good books and see a few good movies.

Anything can happen in the playoffs.  Waco LV is going to State, and I believe they might've finished third in 21-3A.  Ah, well, there it is.  Heckuva year.  That's a great thing about high school basketball: the season always ends with terrible sadness or ultimate joy and, either way, you can't wait for it to start all over again.

We need the Hecklers in force tonight-- and tomorrow!

There were plenty great plays that game, but the one that stood out IMHO was Sammy Mitchell drawing that charge.  You know his life had to pass before his eyes when he saw that freight train coming at him!
