Nederland 3 Vidor 0 Final Congrats to Nederland. They played a great game. Vidor obviously didn't. No excuses for this one. Two or three players can't win the game. I feel really bad for the one's who came to play but they can't blame themselves. It takes the whole team giving 100%. If you don't have that it won't happen.

Sorry - that last post was from me - My son is home for spring break. He was signed on. He gets really upset with me when he I post under his signon.

Vidor and Central Very physical game. Some questionable calls as usual. Overall - Central won. I am just glad that there were no injuries. Central has some serious sportmanship issues. I am proud of the Pirates - they controlled their emotions/tempers without any red cards.

I hate to hear that :( It upsets me that you have guys that love the game that are forced to quit because they do not have the schools support. I do understand your frustration however, please do not give up - have you tried playing league soccer?

I think the 1st call for the PK was fair. The 2nd one - IMO not a fair call. Apparently one of the ref's called it one way and the other one disagreed. That's what happens when you only have 2 refs. Oh well congrats to the Bears. Good game Pirates - nothing you can do about that last goal. You guys played a good game.

I have to say that WOS plays with heart. I think if they had enough players they could be more competitive. I have a lot of respect for them and their coach. They come out and give 100% even though they know they are going to loose. How many other teams could do that? My guess - not very many. I hope that these guys that do love to play the game do not give up on soccer. Keep trying. :)

Congrat's to Nederland. Seems Vidor didn't come to play tonight. It could have been much worse. The score does not represent the game. I have no doubt the Pirates will re-group after this tough loss and be ready to play on Tuesday.

I agree - Vidor did not dominate in the game against Lumberton. As far as the goals - Vidor capitalized on Lumberton's mistakes. I believe that is a big part of a winning team. These two teams will play again - we will have to wait and see what happens. Anyway about tonights game - predictions don't earn you any points - winning does. Should be a good game between two very competitive teams.

We will be selling chicken and sausage gumbo at the game if any of the Nederland fans are interested. $5.00 a bowl (includes a drink). I believe the JV game starts at 5:00. The gumbo should be ready then. Pre-sale tickets have already been sold however you will be able to buy at the game also. If you are planning on eating gumbo you should make sure you get there early just in case we run out. My prediction: Vidor 3 Nederland 2 (OT)
