My daughter is a 9 year old pitcher wanting to play travel. Are there any predominantly first year 10U teams in the Golden Triangle I can contact about her trying out? Thanks
Heard Orangefield will get a bye tonight instead of playing WOS at 6:30. Three WOS players were in a minor accident but are ok, sorry but that's all I know!!!
The 3 players were in a car wreck after they left WO-S high school from the game Wednesday night. The other driver ran a yield sign and hit them. All three were taken to the hospital to be checked out but were released at different times during the night. All had minor injuries but serious enough that they could not play.

DEWEYVILLE CLASSIC/WEST ORANGE-STARK WINS THE TOURNAMENT!
Homer replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Community and legacy both dropped out at the last minute. The tournament was changed to a round robin format. PNG beat High Island by about 30 and WOS beat Deweyville by 20 tonight. I will post the new schedule in a bit. -

Stats don't tell you anything, won and lost records do not mean anything, polls are out the window, individual team player records mean nothing, just how can you tell. It took me a little while to figuer it out, stats has nothing to do with who wins and who has the best team. It is all in the "Predicting", that is thing we must all watch. I am just now begining to get the hang of this "Point/Counter Point" begining to make sense. Improves everyones knowledge of the game.
Thats an easy one. Its because Coldspring won the region last year, played in the State Championship game last year, and they have yet to lose a game this year. They have also been ranked in the top 5 all year. WO-S on the other hand, has 3 losses, struggled to beat some district opponents who didn't even make the playoffs, and are predicted to lose this game by all the HS football guru's; and oh yeah, have not been ranked in the top 10 the entire season. Can't be much more of an underdog than that!!!
Homer, that was well put, it appears you have done your home work. I think I get the picture. Thanks I will quit listening to all of these folks that say stats, past games, rankings, are for the birds. Back to the books, thanks again.
That's one thing I think makes this game so interesting. It will be the first time I can remember that the Mustangs are playing with "nothing to lose." It seems in the past they have had this big image to uphold and have cracked under the pressure in the big game. This year is quite different. All that stuff was thrown out the window earlier in the year. Those kids are just out there every weekend leaving it all on the field, they could care less if they win by 1 or 50. Not saying that CS is not "leaving it all on the field", just that of the two teams, it seems CS has more to play for and to prove than the Mustangs. That is why I really consider the Mustangs to be the underdog. But hey, Laporte was last weekend too!! -

I think they are just now playing up to that ranking
OK, well haven't been ranked since they played their first game. -
