I saw HF play Deweyville and Orangefield and I beg to differ about this being their best team in 10 years. Not in my opinion, but you are entitled to yours!! I do not see HF running over the Stangs like they did Orangefield, but who knows?? Best to both and play injury free!! This may or may not be the most talented HF team in last 10 years, we may never know? One thing is because they have yet to have them all on the field at the same time this year, so we may never know. They weren't any bigger than Deweyville or Orangefield. This team has lost to Lumberton and La Grange, only this year, definitely no slouches! They scrimmaged Kirbyville and Anahuac. They have yet to look good but have won 3 games, I still believe they haven't peeked and may not this year at all due to the injuries. But if you think they are not a good football team, be careful! WOS will win this game, but do not count HF out of the playoff mix. I agree that they are no slouches, I think they at the very least take the 3rd playoff spot in 21-3A. I just feel it is not their best team in the last 10 yrs. They may have not made the playoffs some of those years, but that just means there were 3 other teams better than them in those years.

It looks like most of the front has passed. I looked up the kfdm weathernet stations and it has rained 2.09 inches in West Orange and 0.00 inches at HF Middle School. Pretty unbelievable and good for the Mustangs if it is correct.

Are any of the 21-3A middle school football teams cancelling their season, or are they all playing?

Gasilla drove by WO-S earlier and said it looked like no water in the building. He did say the goal posts were bent some and fencing mangled on the visitors stands. Sounds like a lot of water in the neighborhoods around there though. -

Gas, definitely if you don't mind. With all the pine trees down in Rita, our road was impassible, but I doubt this one will be as bad with trees down. As of 3 A.M. I still have power (called the answering machine) but I expect it to be out soon!! Shocked it has stayed on this long!! Thanks and stay safe down there!! -

Gasilla, Did you happen to get around the WO-S area before dark? If so, how was it? I guess if we get a bad surge we will not find out until the sun comes up. Kind of wish I was at my house in North Orange instead of Dallas so I would know how my house was with the water. -

I just heard a report from impact weather that says someone in Houston did a study of projected paths and landfalls over the last 10 years. In that time frame 74% of the hurricanes have made landfall east of the projected path. NOT GOOD -

I thought it went pretty smooth. We had plenty of help and offers to help from all the people in the Crush organization. It is a great group!! It was a very good showing from the Crush teams in the 14U bracket. Crush 10's also played pretty good. They won the 10U bracket beating the LA Sluggers from Alexandria in the championship 12-1. In their bracket games the Crush 10's outscored opponents 34-4. Thanks to all of the Crush teams for supporting our tournament and helping out. Look forward to doing it again sometime.
