I do not believe that she was pressing to embarass other teams. How about the fact that she knew when the playoffs rolled around they would be in tight ballgames that would require the press. I think they would be in a lot better shape to press the entire game if they have been doing it the whole year. The press was just the style of game they played and they played it for four quarters so they would be ready to do it when they needed to.

I could see the Stangs offense putting 50 on Gilmer. That game would be a lot of fun to watch!!

Diboll would have to beat Liberty Hill in the 2nd round before any of these matchups could take place!!!! As for the Mustangs, they will just be concentrating on Orangefield right now. They will worry about the playoffs when the time comes. Nothing new for them!!

WO-S is improved from last year so it should be a pretty good game if they even get the chance to play each other. Both of these teams will have a first round playoff opponent that will not want to lose either. Before you say yeah right, WO-S thought Huffman would be a walk in the park 2 years ago!! Any way, I think what he meant is that Giddings has basically the same key personnel that they had last year, and no doubt they will be improved with another year experience under their belt.

WO-S Defense!!! How many times have you seen a team hold an opponent's offense to 10 yards? They have given up 16 points in the 3 district games. WO-S will never have a player of the week because they are so balanced. They will never have someone with 5 TD's but they will have 5 people with 1 TD a piece. Bevil threw 4 TD's tonight on 11-12 passing for 220 yards. That is pretty solid!!

But losing to a freshman team, wow. What if the JV played against the JV? UGLY!!! It looks like teams playing from a different classification.

I noticed in the box score on pg. 2 of this thread that WO-S had 7 different people score TD's against HF. How is #15 from kville going to cover all of them??

You cannot go by who does what against the same opponent because everyone matches up different against different teams. One more thing, all this talk about district and state championships and going undefeated is great conversion for the good ol message board. But I can guarantee you one thing, the only thing on the minds of the Mustang coaches and players is the HF Longhorns next Friday night!! From what I have seen this is a very dedicated and focused team, more so than any I have seen in a long time!!
