  1. Texans....you have me laughing so hard I can hardly type! Run Joe Run.
  2. I saw Anderson at the state meet last year. He is impressive!
  3. bh89-2, I don't know who will win. I haven't seen Crosby. But I think you are making your prediction based on the Dayton team BH played early in the season. As it has been pointed out in previous posts, the varsity basketball team was without Dugat, Powell, Gable, Smesny, and Charles. Even the JV team was without Young, Berrotte, and Brown. (varsity football players - JV basketball players) Good luck to both teams. I predict that it will be close either way.
  4. Bean is a very devoted player. I'm sure he wasn't up to full strength but came to play on Friday night. He sounds like a great kid. LCM played with class.
  5. Nothing yet. Hopefully someone will pick him up. Good kid.
  6. Yes, both Carter and McGowen were on the 4x400. Smesny and Barton are returning on the 4x400 with several other kids battling for the other 2 spots. They will compete well. Coach Wood will have them ready.
  7. Dayton will certainly miss Joe Carter and P.J. McGowen this year. I hear the Dayton kids are working hard and should make a good showing this year.
  8. Dayton will be there, but not the full team. We have several track athletes that are still playing basketball.
  9. Congrats to Ford Smesny (McNeese State) and Paul Fontenot (Texas A&M-Kingsville). [Hidden Content]
  10. Good Luck to both teams. I hope Dayton wins this one!
  11. Dayton plays Lumberton tonight, not Ozen.
  12. Ford Smesny-Dayton DB-McNeese State
  13. Nice post Soulja. Dayton played well together last night.....best defensive game yet. Good luck to all the teams for the remainder of the season.
  14. Ford Smesny - McNeese State
  15. Congrats to Hussey! I've heard he's a great kid on and off the field.
  16. Like I said....LCM is GOOD! Not taking anything away from them. They were good last year too. The physical toll playing 5 weeks of post season games has on a team IS an issue. Good athletes or not, it takes time for a team to come together on the court and gel. However, I wouldn't trade what our team/community experienced in football for a better start to our basketball season! Good Luck to the Broncos and all the teams in our district. I look forward to watching some basketball in the upcoming months!
  17. I'm not one to make a lot of excuses, but....... ONE day of practice might be a contributing factor! Also, LCM has a very good team. The Broncos will come around.
  18. I agree. They are both awesome athletes and great kids. Dayton is lucky to have them! Also worth mentioning.....the bus didn't get back to Dayton until 3 a.m. Twelve hours later they were on the basketball court! Dedication.
  19. John was injured last year and was not able to play. Ford chose not to play to prepare for football. (weight gain and strength training). They are both back and playing this year! They sure make it fun to watch! They are both very physical defensive players.
  20. Dugat Fontenot Powell Smesny Charles Gable
  21. check your pm
  22. Call names if you want, but we'll be at Kyle Field Friday night! Waller had a great team. Hardest hitting team we've faced. Great athletes and coaches. Be proud. Don't be bitter to the Broncos. It was a great game.
  23. Thanks, Jerry! I'm so proud of all of our Dayton students. Your video is wonderful and will be something these kids will treasure. Thanks for all you do to promote our DHS students. We are lucky to have your support and talents.
