Yes, Ford is playing this year. He did not play last year so that he could gain weight and get stronger for football. It worked. He got an offer from McNeese and is now looking forward to playing basketball, powerlifting, and running track his senior year. It will be good to see Ford and younger brother, Frank, playing together. Paul Fontenot is also returning this year. John Gable is healthy and will be playing this year as well. These three returners along with Dugat, Powell, and Charles will help the Bronco team this year.

Who is BH's best player? Where was he?

I was proud of the Dayton boys. They played very well...especially since they are still without Dugat, Gable, Powell, Fontenot, Charles, and Ford Smesny. Dayton is looking forward to a good year in basketball. Good luck to the boys and Coach McCracken.

Dayton Junior Frank Smesny 8-0 last year. Frank played for Mike Rutledge this summer and fall on the Kyle Chapman League in Houston.

I refuse to apologize for our facilities. They are very nice. They are also totally paid for without passing a bond election. Perhaps in the future, improvements and enlargements will be made for the visitors side. However, at this time, I am proud that our school board and community support our kids and built (within our budget) a VERY nice stadium. It's a good thing I am intelligent and won't judge all PNG fans by the few negative ones that are posting about our town/facilities. Get over yourselves PNG posters.

I am looking forward to a great game Friday night. I think the Bronocs will win, but I am looking forward to seeing Hemmings play. Please tell me a little more about him. I know from reading the message board that he is big and strong, but who is recruiting him? Where does he want to play college ball? He's obviously had a great season.....surely he's being highly recruited. I tried looking up on Rivals and didn't find him. Please give me more information.

Donnie's a great athlete. My sons played against him in select baseball years ago. Good luck to him!

akifan94- Surely you aren't implying that a full paid scholarship to ANY university is a slap in the face? McNeese is a fine university with a winning tradition! I'd be proud for my child to attend/play for The Cowboys!

My son just completed play with Mike Rutledge's Fall League at Bayland Park. There are a couple of tourney's scheduled for the next two weekends but the players were picked from the seniors that played in the fall league. The league play ended last week. This is a wonderful program. I would highly recommend it.

Liberty ISD closed as well.

Just spoke with Cody's mom. The surgery went well and they are on their way home from Houston.

I was told that Evan will NOT be back for the Friendswood game.
