Everybody knows Nuemann worries about winning games. Could care less about helping kids get looks for college....
Correction.. Neumann cares about trying to turn young men into quality educated members of society... Something lots of people don't worry about anymore... The proof is in the pudding
Don't shoot the messenger. My statement was confirmed by a parent/co-worker who just happened to play for Nuemann and current has a son playing for him as well......
Knowing what I know, and it's not 2nd hand information, I would say that statement about Neumann is bogus...he helps his kids as much as the next guy and does a fabulous job of turning them into productive members of society
Look who started the thread man. Come on man. Hatred and animosity?? Really??
The hatred and animosity is coming from Nederland, remember you are the ones who vandalized our school before the game. [Hidden Content]
Whatever, there is no proof it was anyone from Nederland, in fact didn't they question some Vidor students??
Exactly...this was not done by Nederland kids and I would bet Ivan Croak Stadium on it.

I thInk Nederlands 2nd graders are better than png's too
-
Buddy, please...why are you, as a 5A school, so interested in playing a 4A school? you guys are better than that...in the words of Keyshawn, CMON MAN! Besides, I seriously doubt that Neumann has one ounce of fear with regards to playing PAM.
I vote all of the above....they can have you Dogs.
If I was from png, I would say that too...Nederland please go away!

I have no problem with refs talking to fans from one team or another before games...fact is, these guys know many people who attend games and the fact that they talk to them does not indicate to me that they are bias one way or another...most officials are professional enough to seperate the two. As for last night, I did not find the officiating to be blatantly horrible or bias...I do think the travelling call agaist Nederland late in the game after an Ozen miss was pretty bad...easy to travel when you are being tackled...there was also a pretty blatant missed called as English tried to post up and was run over as the entry pass came in, both at key times...I will admit that I am a Nederland fan and my eye is likely biased toward watching those calls...I am sure Ozen likely feels that they had some calls go against them...my point is this...I don't think the officiating determined the outcome of the game (and it shouldn't)...very rarely does it. I also agree that Lorimer stepped up in a big way last night that doesn't necessarily show up in the box score...Nederland has to have someone besides Weisbrod and English contribute in a big way in order to win these type games...last night, it was Lorimer, plus a pretty good team defensive effort...they forced Ozen into taking difficult shots for the most part and it worked out. Dove, your son is quite the player...I continue to be very impressed with his play...he is one of those kids who is going to get his points, you just have to be sure that he has to work hard to get them.

that's a really good piece by Stark...everyone wants to cry about steroids and such now when the truth is that 75-80% of players used some type of performance enhancers in this era...what's worse is that the powers that be in the game knew about it while it was going on and turned a blind eye...now that it has been uncovered, well, it's the most horrible thing ever and we must erase anything that happened during this time. Believe me, I am no fan of Bonds or Clemens...I believe that both of these guys are huge narcissists and ego-maniacs...but anyone who thinks that they along with only a handful of other players (McGuire, Sosa, Palmiero, etc) are the select few who used PED's, then they are mistaken...IMO, there are already guys in the HOF who have questionable character...is the HOF for baseball achievement or a club of good guys?

I think that all that really needs to be said here is...Congrats, Tony on your selection to this team and best of luck!

3 out of 4 State 4A teams dropped from 5a
Razor replied to SummerCreek it is!'s topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Of course it would never happen but cut it back to 3 teams per district and give everyone a bye week...solves that problem...four is ridiclous anyway IMO. Again this will never happen, but just food for thought -

Razor replied to SummerCreek it is!'s topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
of course the UIL can rarely be accused being logical but it seems to me that it makes more sense to divide teams by enrollment once they know who has made the playoffs...top 50% go Div 1 and the bottom go Div 2...could cause a slight delay in knowing who your matchup in the playoffs is but should be able to figure that out by Sunday. And yes SC would have still been Div 1 -
Breaux is a DB who played pretty well on JV as wel...he could be a contributor as well

Class 3A Associated Press All State teams
Razor replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
that really is inexcusable...some kid out there somewhere played an entire season and played well but falls behind this guy...AP , IMO, is influenced by the pre-season favorites of college coaches who want to make their recruits look good by calling them "all state" -
so Faircloth is gonna give in and abandon his philosophy of not using players on both sides fo the ball? this has really hurt png defensively

*Nederland at Vidor Updates/Nederland wins 59-38
Razor replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Nederland didn't shoot well last night, but still manged the easy win...room for improvement to be certain...Nederland had to have had a big advantage on the boards as well...Weisbrod was just too much for vidor to handle down low...they don't have anyone on the roster that can match up with a good big... -
dang, don't they have to be better than this past season?? these points may all be moot as I wouldn't be surprised at all if Faircloth interviews at Permian, although his record this season won't help his cause. PNG should be back in the playoff hunt, at least, next year...it was pretty boring this season without all of the png trash talk...you guys pretty much resigned yourself to weekly beatings early in the season...even MCM was pretty quiet this year...I got the feeling that png just wanted that week to be over and over quick

Central QB Mitchell has Lamar Offer

I hope he goes to LU...we really need to get this Se Texas pipeline built up at LU -
Memorial QB Fisk considering Lamar offer, move to DB
Razor replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I have always believed that this area has enough talent to support a competetive FCS program...effectively tapping into this for LU could create greater fan interest while also fielding what I think could be a pretty dang good football team. Good luck to Mr. Fisk as he makes this decision and congrats to him on a fine senior season -
Soulja, you da man on that prediction...pretty dang close
