1.
The Nederland secondary is probably about like any high school, college or NFL secondary... even if they're good, if a good QB has a ton of time, they're gonna get picked apart. The difference is the pass rush, which Nederland has a good one. I'm not sure Nederland has faced a truly good passing team, so this game should be a tough match-up for them. If they can disrupt the passing game in a significant way they'll win IMO. If not, Georgetown will move on. Hopefully Hopkins is ready to roll and Ned can keep the chains moving and put points up... I think they'll need 31 or so to win.
You make a good point...I acknowledged that Nederland will be facing the best passing game they have seen to date...I also stated that Georgetown will be facing the best defensive front/pass rush they have seen to date along with a secondary and LB's that have proven that they can be very opportunistic...that's why I see this game as a very interesting matchup...I stick with my original prediction of Nederland 31, Georgetown 28. just for you AGF, my prediction is different,  Georgetown 76, Nederland -3
2. You are assuming Nederland has no secondary speed...17 picks! As for the reference to Nederland never getting beat as bad as you say Gtwon will beat them...there is no comparison to another team...simply the fact that NO ONE has come close to laying a licking like that on Nederland...time for you to get to class.
3. must be past AGF's bedtime??
4.
If Angleton strummed little ned, and Georgetown rolled Angleton, what makes you clowns think Neverland stands a chance? Georgetown- 42 Neverland-      7
Hey, I will take the Dogs and 35 points!!!  Although your attempted use of the distributive property is very admirable, it has NOTHING to do with who wins a football game...if you honestly think that GTown is going to beat Nederland by 35, then you are seriously underestimating your opponent...this team has never been beaten by anything close to that score...go work on your math properties some more
5. I would love to see the following: 4A State Champs - Nederland 3A State Champs - WOS 2A State Champs - Newton Best of luck to all of our local teams still competing and making SE Texas proud!
6. old news...Dawson is now in the rear view mirror...focus is clearly on GTown
7.
Just make sure you bring plenty of gurneys, because the GT Eagles are coming ready to crack some skulls, baby!  >:(
::) ::) ::)...and you think the Dogs aren't??
8. Congrats to all of the kids making All District...a lot of hard work goes into that and this honor is something they can always look back on as a significant accomplishment
9. whatever our coaches go with, I trust it to be our best chance to win...that is one of strengths, our coaching staffs repeatedly succesful ability to formulate a game plan...I trust them completely to come up woth the best plan...that being said, I don't look for much to change from what we have done all season with maybe some slight variations...we have faced spread teams before
10. This will be a great matchup...Nederland will see a passing game unlike they have seen all year and GTown will see a defense unlike any they have seen all year...Nederland plays a slower, more methodical game, GTown is up tempo, fast paced...defense wins championships and I thnk the Dogs are smelling the prize...Nederland 31, Georgetown 28
11. I think SC and PD are playing in the Tidy Bowl next weekend anyway so they won't be able to attend. Seriously, anyone who wants to come support the Dogs is welcome, IMO...I personally like seeing the representation from so many of the other SE Texas communities...at Reliant, I saw fans from PNG, Vidor, Beaumont, PA, Dayton, and HF...let's go to the Berry Center next week and beat GT and become Region 3 champs!!!
12. best of luck to the Stangs from this Bulldog...defense wins championships and I hope we both prove that to be true next weekend
13. no, Nederland is terrible...no way they can hang with GT...still trying to figure out how they beat Dawson and Connally and Dayton and Vidor and Crosby and Goose Creek and anybody else they beat this year...Nederland really should be about 0-13 by now...GT 76, Nederland -3
14. negative, ghost rider...we knwo what their enrollment is befoer the game starts...PD's enrollment is bigger than ours too...it is what it is and there is nothing we can do about it but play them on Saturday...I believe they have a real good team and we do as well...I look for our boys to be up to the challenge
15. exactly...I would have begun a 10 year puke fest if that would have cost us that game.
16. Our secondary has made a few plays this year...17 interceptions and 5 or 6 retruned to the house...i think this will be a really good one...I will reserve a prediction until I actually have time to see GTown on film
17. Nobody that I know is underestimating GTown...that's not the way we look at things here in Nederland...the further you advance, the harder it is supposed to get and I fully expect that to be the case next weekend...GT would be wise to have the same attitude towards Nederland...looking forward to playing in a new venue, just hope it's big enough...I expect us to test that capacity of 11,000 pretty good
18. hey, a demdawgs citing...must have been busy at an SC basketball tournament or something
19. thanks for that Bulldog8...I was really thinking that the game shoudl have been over at that point and this certainly validates that...
20. keep in mind that many of Dawson's yards came after they were down by 16...this happens alot with Nederland...they build a lead and then teams go to a more hurried pace and they accumulate some yards but rarely enough POINTS to win...that is how they decide who wins, right? points scored?
21.
Nederland doesn't have the offense to win this game, or the defense to stop them.
Gee, that's original and sounds familiar...we have heard that for the last 3 weeks..at least come up with another reason that Nederland will lose
22.
After reading about the officiating at the game last night, if I was Neuman I would get the game out of Houston if at all possible if Angleton wins.  Play them at LU (better to play in a real nice but smaller venue than in a big time venue against hostile officials) or at Kyle but not with Houston officials.  Or agree to play them in Houston only if you can bring a SE Tx officiating crew!
I may be wrong but I believe last night crew was from Austin
23.

The pearland team has to be the dirtiest and most undisciplined team i have ever seen. From start of the game from flipping off the nederland fans, late hits, punches being thrown, helmets throwing around, a player thrown out of the game, #1 and other players taunting after they tied it up, and after nederland ran out on the field for the win #1 tried to go fight players and was escorted out by 2 coaches. then during the handshake several of there players just stayed on the sideline or just walked and didnt congratulate nederland on the win, to there coaches chest bumping with our coaches, to one of there players being escorted out by police they have to be ranked as dirtiest team in houston if not in the state. Ohhh Well BULLDOGS WIN!!!!  8) 8)
...and that's all that really matters...It's gonna be a long, long winter coach wells...and the memories of tonight's game will be with ya the entire time!
Are you sure you guys didn't play LaMarque!!  That is exactly what Lumberton experienced against the LM Coogs when the Raiders beat them back in 2007!!  Congrats to the Dog's!!  SE Texas could use a team in the larger classes to make some real noise in the playoffs!  We've been down for too long!!
What we played beared a strong resemblance to LM of old with all the chest thimping and false bravado
24. the guy who everyone thinks is Schaub is actually the punter...Foster and Johnson were on the field as well...bet we made Bulldog fans out of 'em
25. I believe his record speaks for itself...again, really, really proud of Carson and all of the Bulldogs...this group just will not back down and will not quit...that's how winners are made and Carson is an integral part of that
