1. good point, pride...Nederland is the exact opposite...not sure what the plus/minus is for Nederland but I know they have 17 interceptions alone this season...Nederland is a defense/field position team...they play that strategy well
 2. ask the Dallas Cowboys about stats...they are near the top of the league in total offense and defense yet sit at 4-5
 3.

I say keep listening to Coug 14 --- NED only has Hopkins to worry about on O.
believe me.... No one from dayton listens to cougar14
You probably should have for the SC game, I told you if you keep running those same three plays you're going to get your teeth kicked in. You should also listen when I tell you Hancock is no Stewart. Hopkins is 41.3% of the total Ned offense, which would be around half if he played during the ends of games. Your qb is averaging 123 per game passing and has 11tds with 6 picks. Shaw is averaging 39.5 yards per game on 2.8 receptions, I know he can get behind you though. I'm just trying to figure what else you have on O besides Hopkins? Y'all struggle to gain 300 yards a lot of times. I could be missing something though.
more stats...you know what they say?  there are lies, d@%n lies, and then there are statistics...the only one that matters are the scores
 4. cougar14 still trying to come to terms with the butt kicking vidor gave them last season in the playoffs by using his wonderful stats...lol
 5. not sure of the outcome, but I do know that SC will have to play a full 48 minutes to beat vidor...the Pirates will play hard for the entire game and SC will know they have been in a game...if BH gave them any kind of test with a backup QB, then vidor will test them as well. Look, people tend to overreact after big lopsided blowouts like SC whipping Dayton last week...if you listen to some, based on what they saw last week, SC would win the BCS title this year and Dayton should really be 0-10...neither is true...SC is good and I suspect, really good, but no one is as good as some of the hype I am reading on here...this is HS football and anything can happen...nor do I believe that Dayton absolutely sucks after getting beat that bad...teams have bad nights...it doesn't mean you judge their whole season based on one bad night...is it good news for Dayton? no, just maybe not as bad as it is being made out to be
We may not be, but we are right up there with them.
We played all three, and the one thing I can tell you is that Ned is no Summer Creek. Not even close. Ned is about equal with Dayton, Dawson is the only team with a shot to knock off Summer Creek. They beat you by a couple touchdowns in a bad game. I understand y'all use Ned and their defense as the bell cow but here are some closer numbers. Yes, I do know a win is a win but the numbers will eventually catch up with you. Ned: allowed 311 and outgained by GCM, allowed 298 and was outgained by Angleton, allowed 311 to Vidor and was outgained, allowed 291 to LCM and only had 5 more yards, allowed 273 to Port Neches. It's not like Ned's d is suffocating, and the only game their offense broke 400 yards is Lumberton. Even with Dayton's offense looking as bad as it has, I still think they scratch out enough points to beat Ned.
those really are some of the most useless numbers...most of those games (except Angleton) were Nederland wins with them holding more than one score leads and playing  defense that allowed their opponents to accumulate yards, but eat clock...I coudl really care less abut how many yards we gave up...more concerned with points so look that up instead...even more important, look up wins. I expect this to be a good game...I do not see Dayton having another performance like they did last week...say what you want about Nederland, they may not look like what YOU think a "great" team looks like, but I can promise you this, they will be in any game they play and are not apt to getting blown out or manhandled by anyone...it hasn't happened in 2 years so I don't expect it to start now...ask Dawson...they ended up with their hands pretty full last season in that playoff win over Nederland...this years team is better than that one
 7. not so much on the INTs...Raiines has only thrown 6 all season and 4 were in one quarter...Nederland has scored 35, 48, and 45 points in the last 3 weeks, so offensively, I think they are fine
 8.

SC is the clear favorite but Vidor does have an advantage come playoff time of running a very unique offensive scheme that most teams outside of 20-4A do not see...it is difficult to defend...Vidor needs to keep the ball and drain the clock with some long, time consuming drives and keep that SC offense off of the field...if they can do this, they have a CHANCE to disrupt the SC O...best of luck to the Pirates from this Nederland Bulldog
That IS needed problem is Pirates have been moving the ball as quick as a passing game and NOT eating clock up. It's weird to say but averaging +10 yards a carry is not consuming any clock.
that's a valid point...despite the fact that Vidor runs the ball, they do have a lot of big plays due to the misdirection and "hide the pig" offense...it is difficult often times to figure out who has the ball and for a defense to be successful, they have to be discplined
 9. 10. so can anyone answer the question about who is in and who is out of this game?
 11. so who's in and who is out for Dayton?  same for SC?
 12. but don't get me wrong...the kid scares me...he is as dangerous of a player as there is in the district
 13. cornhusker makes a valid point...this defense is MUCH better than the 2010 unit and I am not sure that Mitchell has the same talent level around him either
 14. I will put it this way 1984, Collins is a comparable athlete, but I will have to agree with Soulja that Mitchell is a better QB...he does present a dynamic that would cause anyone trouble...I do think that our D is good enough to keep his damage to a level that Nederland can win with, though, thus my 35-20 prediction in favor of the Dogs. IMO, Collins is a playmaker running the ball...Mitchell can make plays running and throwing...think David Green from last year at Ozen...the question will be, how much help does Mitchell get from his teammates...he will not be able to win it by himself
 15. We'll take all of ya and even teach you how to bark!
 16. who says we haven't?  Much of this depends on who you play and what the 2 sides mutually can agree to...we won't know who we play until Friday night...I suspect Neumann has some things lined up based on all possible scenarios assuming we win the toss

PNG's home side is nice but the visitors side stinks...it doesn't have adequate access to exiting the rows and the room under the stands isn't near enough...if you end up going to the concession stand or restroom, your are packed in like sardines. Livingston...no comment Vidor and LCM are comparable...not terrible, but seating is pretty limited. Our's (Nederland) is OK...plenty of seating and Ok access to restrooms and concessions, but nothing special Of course, the Beaumont schools have the nicest facility by far.
Everything ok but the mile walk through the community to get to the stadium.
that walk was longer for you going back than it was coming in I imagine...all in good fun, coog, all in good fun
I'm sure it wasn't as bad as the two walks after those playoff losses. I do wish they would vamp up the visitor side, then it would be appealing as a playoff venue. Although it is nice to see all that black and gold over there suffering. lol
the suffering has been on whatever side you guys sit on for the past 3 seasons the way I see it...lol

 21. gotta agree there...I really hate seeing senior kids have to end their season due to injury...best of luck to this young man on a speedy recovery
 22. Took the words outta my mouth ram....sweet dreams about Nederland, johnsmith
 23. Apparently johnsmith thinks SC is gonna beat his broncs....that's the only way Dayton gets a chance to take care of Nederland...johnsmith has Nederland obsession obviously...better worry about SC instead
 24. I feel dumber already for replying to this but for clarification, Obama was the underdog in Texas and got his butt handed to him in Texas...if that's the analogy that makes you feel better about Central's chances, then I can't help you...the two are clearly unrelated in any way, shape, or form
