1. Nederland = could care less what Dayton thinks
2. Having seen both (granted only once each) I give the edge to Vidor and thisone may not be close...Vidor just has too much talent and the run that offense so well...I see Livingston getting worn down in the second half as they have alot of kids playing both ways.. Vidor  35 Livingston  21
3. As it stands currently, vidor would be D1...Central is the only team that can make the playoffs and move vidor to D2...a lot riding on the Central/LCM game next week...winner is most likely in
4.
It is what it is. Sorry it bothers you
actually nobody knows "what it is" and that is the problem...it is nothing more than speculation on your part (word on the street) and therefore irresponsible.
5. word on the street = irresponsible post IMO...no need to put stuff like that on this board when you are talking about kids...simply stirring the pot if you ask me
6. as they have been for the last 20 years, Nederland will be fine for the next several years
7. I know the announcers could not figure out who made that first block, but it was Kimler...great job, Colton!
8. no points for style...just win baby, just win and that is what they are doing.
9. this one could be a big problem for png...they don't seem to stop the run very well and, we all know what vidor is going to give them a heavy dose of...vidor 42, png 14
10. this was one of Nederland's toughest games last season...ozen has enough talent to play with anyone on any given week...if they can put everything together, they can be very tough...the question is, will they? Nederland    28 Ozen          14
11. I am a bottom line kinda guy, so to me, the play calling is pretty good...we are winning and scoring 30 points a game...what else you want?
12.

I label this one the "Who's More Afraid to Play PA Memorial" Bowl.  :o ;)
when you all drop down to 4a we will play PAM...
my question is, why is a big bad 5A school so desperate to play a little ole 4A school?
13. Soulja, it ain't dead...believe me...swing by the stadium tonight and you tell me if it's dead!
14. fair enough, ndnation...fair enough
15.

3 min left in 3rd, 52-21 Indians!
Holy Cow! Nederland now you know what you got coming your way in the future.
You know better than to just automatically assume that...if that's the case, you guys are in BIG trouble tonight
16.
I know of some Nederland fans who walked into their office.... Cherokee blasting and their office decorated in purple.
I hope they won't be too sick to attend the game tonight...I know that would make me ill...lol
17. I have not seen ozen, but have seen LCM...the Bears have the potential to be pretty dang good on offense, but must eliminate turnovers...based on what I have seen, their defense is a bit suspect...from the sounds of things, Ozen is in a similar situation...I see this as a high scoring affair that should be pretty close...wild guess but I will say: LCM  45 Ozen  42
18. welcome back YD
19. WOS would certainly be more than competetive in 20-4A...I think the games most in question for them would be Nederland and Vidor...those games would be close enough IMO to go either way and I suspect the Stangs would have a better than average chance of beating everyone else in 20-4A...so winning district...maybe, but be in contention...definitely
20. lol...now that's funny stuff right there, ryker...you know rob's a hater...lol
21.

Soulja, I respect you and always have but I believe some may be placing too much value on attendance at an internet broadcast...people have lives, work and activities, many of which already center around MCM to be called out for not making it last night...I realize that may be disappointing for the guys who put the show on ( and it's a great thing ya'll do), but in the words of Keyshawn...CMON MAN!
Razor, you and I have been around message boards long before there was an SETXsports.com and I have had the biggest respect for your insight and believe me this thread changes none of that.  However, this "internet broadcast" was a little more significant than I think you are giving it credit for. First, this is not just a show where someone flips a switch and 3-6 guys just start rambling for 2 hours.  A good bit of work goes into it.  I know, because even though my attendance is sparce due to distance, I am one of those who put a bit of work into the show.  Second, those that do host the show...Mike, Aaron and Robert...all take time out of their schedules to make this show go to help bring a little more information and a little more entertainment to the posters at SETXsports.  Robert tears himself away from his daughter's activities to be there, Aaron's two hours there account for about half of the time off he has all week and Mike puts several civic functions that he is involved with for a better half of a day. Apparently that is recognized by some as you look at the Legacy Sports Network lineup and while they have game broadcasts from all over the state, they have seen fit at this time to have only one preview show be part of their lineup, ours.  And to move the show to Nederland for the week of Mid-County Madness creates further sacrifice for the guys, both in time and these days more importantly distance. But it is a lot more than that.  It was SETXsports.com paying homage to what is the most storied rivalry in Southeast Texas and doing so for the second year in a row.  It is SETXsports.com showing appreciation to Hamburger Depot, a company who I can't just say has been very helpful to this site since it's inception because that we be an understatement of such proportion to be laughable.  It was an attempt to further help our sponsor by getting folks to come in and patronize a business who had enough faith in that community to put down stakes there.  Yet, despite the show setting up in their backyard for the second year in a row for the week precending MCM all of this was met with by both the Nederland and Port Neches-Groves contingient as, "Well, we had better things to do."  Given that sentiment, for you not to understand that the staff and regulars not to look at Mid County Madness with the same grandeur as they may have viewed the rivalry in the past, then I would have to pose to you "C'MON MAN." Now, I know what I said doesn't change a whole lot. MCM was the most storied rivalry in the before the show yesterday, it was during the show and is today.  But after what our efforts have been met with over the last couple of years, I think you should be able to understand why we may not look upon it with the same excitement that you do.
no argument here, grad...believe me, I know these guys work hard and sacrifice to make this thing work and I acknowledged as much in my prior post, although maybe not enough...what they do is certainly admirable work and I know they would have preferred to have more Nederland/PNG attendees...fact is, they didn't and while I understand the disappointment, I really didn't see a reason to be quite as critical of the fans for not showing...heck, I didn't even know it was that big of a deal, not that I could have gone anyway...but again, I do think that what they are doing is good stuff...I will listen when I can and find it entertaining...my thought would be for these guys to press on and keep doing what you are doing

24. look, I am a Nederland fan and I am not crazy enough to think that it isn't possible...it is MCM and these are teenage biys we are talking about, but if both teams play their best, the Dogs come out on top...one thing that you can bank on is that neither team will be flat for this one
