[/quote] Rob, lose with some class and dignity, please...for the past two seasons, you have run your mouth before the game only to be served up a heaping dish of crow both times...i was hoping that you might learn a lesson after being proven wrong again, but apparently you ain't smart enough for that...as for the accusation and assumption that Nederland actually hung those banners, I can promise you that you don't know that for sure...I would bet money that those were put up by someone from Vidor as a cheap attempt at motivation (which did not work)...I won't apply your actions to Vidor as a whole, because I know many fine Vidor people, however, I do know for a fact that some Vidor so called adults cursed at and "flipped off" our cheerleaders bus...now that's class...again, I don't apply that to all of Vidor, because I know better...many very fine people there, but don't cast accusations at Nederland people when you have shown some classless actions of your own...I will look forward to your 2 weeks of trash spewing again next year!

I agree, scapegoat...it is hard to find someone who is NOT playing well on that defense this year...I thought the LBs, Stampley and Wood, were exceptional against Vidor...the front four were stout as usual with Washington, Prypr, Malveaux, and Couron all doing their thing...different role for the DBs against a pure running team like Vidor, but they did their job as well...Nederland offense continues to improve as well...Carson was totally in command this past Friday and the added element of him running the football makes the offense better...I just want to see the team focus on getting better every week and peaking come playoff time.

Not sure but I hear that BH is ranked 1st in the state and smoking baby is the head coach...they have actually been past the first round in the sport on numerous occassions

Great game by two quality teams...that is what HS football is all about...much respect to Vidor's players and coaches...they played their tails off, just didn't quite have enough to pull it off last night...that Quirante kid played really tough and I have nothing but respect for him...I will bet he is one tired young man today...I would guess that he took more hits last night than he has so far this entire season...no surprises, for me though...I have always respected Vidor's team...now some of their pre-game, trash talking fans, that's a different story but I won't be too hard on 'em...the satisfaction of winning is good enough for me. As for my Dogs, great effort guys!  So many guys played well...Carson had great command of the game...Defense was really good against a team that has been hanging 40 a week...I won't start mentioning names here because they were all good...great win, enjoy it today and start thinking about Livingston tomorrow...beating Vidor was a great win, but only one small step towards the overall goal...stay the course guys. But seriously, major props to Vidor...those kids played great and will be very difficult to beat the rest of the way...anybody who does will know they were in a battle

I can definitely agree with that one...always hope and pray both teams come out injury free and may the best team win

Most reasonable Nederland posters know this will be a hard fought game...either side predicting a blowout is not usuing rational thought...they are mostly just being a blowhard or trying to get someone's goat...two good teams, both well prepared, and both hungry for a win...should make for a great game...can't wait...this is what HS football is all about!!!!

Dawgnut, that's one good reason right there...last years defense for Nederland was outstanding, but I do believe that this years is better...most of last year's defense is back with another off season of work and another year of experience to make them better....also, I feel like we will be better than what Vidor saw last year in particular because Stampley and Taylor will both be playing....they both missed last years game and they are both impact players without a doubt....Washington adds another element to this D as well...that kid has the potential to be special with his size, speed, and quickness

Interesting take 2011....they are mighty good and I don't feel that it's a stretch to say that they are as good of a front (dline and linebackers) as any in the state for class 4A...great combination of size, athleticism, and technique from this group
