1. Baptizing a sophomore QB against WOS D is a really bad idea
2.
All I can say is Crosby must be terrible because Nederland really sucks.
says the guy whose team can't play past week one of the playoffs...you are a total clown...watch the game befroe you comment...like I said in the other thread, come watch us play in the playoffs...you won't have anything else to do
3.

Well BH15, I'm glad you don't think Crosby needs an OL, cause after watching them on film it doesn't appear they have one. By the way, doesn't every team have to outscore its opponent to get the win?
Well, I hope you don't think Nederland has a defensive line. I saw Dayton toy with y'all a week ago. From what I'm reading, some of your better players are banged up on the defensive side of the ball. That's not good for the Dogs cause y'all were already going to have trouble playing in space with Crosby. Now you have guys hindered with lower limb injuries which is going to most likely mitigate the leverage advantage Nederland would have in the trenches. I see a Barbers Hill guy say the twins could be "contained". Well, the twins had the Barbers Hill fans ooohing and aahing in Mont Belvieu last year in front of a record crowd. Maybe he wasn't saying BH contained them though. As far as scoring goes, good luck. That receiver got behind Dayton twice but other than that, nil. Going to be hard to keep Austin under 200yds if that front seven isn't one of the best in Texas as I saw one Dog fan post earlier. Good luck in health only, see y'all in a few days.
yep, Nederland's defense was awful, huh 14?  Austin had well under 200
4. You saw Nederland minus as many as 5 defensive starters....come watch us in round 2 of the playoffs after your team is done
5. You're right 14....Crosby 50, Nederland 2
6. Akifan, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard...Neumann would NEVER say that...you are just trying to start trouble
7. Smitty????  Didn't hear squat from him last year, did we?
8. No worries, bronco...I acknowledged that it was a bit crazy on my part to reply to him, but what he said was so off base, I couldn't resist

Nederland's biggest problem right now is the offensive line, they gotta get that problem solved quick. The second issue is depth, if we have a couple of injuries we could be in big trouble. Third issue is RB, smaller backs with average speed and an offensive line that's not  getting it done means no running game. If we can solve these issues and stay healthy we will be tough, if we don't we will be in for a fight for a playoff spot.
Oh wait, you forgot you need a QB too.  Not that that's important.... ;) Neither QB was worth a dime....
Dayton's Qube w/ be fine...you just worry about how crowded the parking lot will be at halftime on 10/26 when all the barbie-cue's are leaving with no hope of a 2nd half comeback... ;)
Uh, Dayton has a QB.  I do think the back-up should start so you can put #10 in the secondary as a safety.  I was referring to little-ned not having a QB.
you really are almost too dumb to reply to, but I will anyway...that QB from Nederland you are refering to threw for 2 TD's and about 250 yards last night with a pretty steady rush coming at him...he was good enought to lead us 3 rounds deep last year and I will take him on my team, any day
10. one thing Nederland is not is deep and that was exposed last night when you had as many as 5-6 defensive starters not on the field...Nederland is going to have to be able to run the ball and STAY HEALTHY...we have not run the ball well at all in the first two games and this needs to be fixed...I have said it many times, injuries are part of the game and we have to be able to overcome them, so in no way am I making any excuses...great teams have to overcome that and Nederland has not up to this point...that being said, scrimmages count for nothing, so the results of these two scrimmages are meaningless If I had my choice, I would rather not have injuries at all, but if I am going to have them, I would rather it be at this point in the season instead of later...let's get 'em out of the way...Dogs will have their hands full with Crosby next week for certain. I still have faith in the Dogs and am way more concerned with how they finish as opposed to how they start
11.

Neither just a horrible fact of the game. Just have some injuries.
thats one thing...but if we're just resting starters, that defeats the purpose of a scrimmage Ned v Dayton is a great pre-season look at Reg III competition...would be great to get a few good series of ones v. ones
I hear ya honcho, but risking further injury to starters for something that doesn't count would defeat the purpose even more...this will give Neumann and co. a chance to look at some guys who may end up being to help down the line
12. Bridge City???  How in the heck do they fit in to this scenario?
13. I predict there will be a scrimmage...you guys and your fascination with scrimmage results????
14. I will say it whether we are ranked or not....pre-season polls mean nothing...I am much more interested in where we end up, not where we start off
15. Since this a real game and all, what's the point spread?
16. I for one will stick to one game at a time...the goal right now is to get ready for Crosby in 2 weeks...nothing else matters at this point
17. gotta hold onto the rock...Crosby couldn't do it that night and it cost 'em
18. geez, dont you people have games before you play Nederland?  I know that we do...I will just worry about Crosby for now
19. what's the matter, pat...make too much sense for ya
20. well, let's see...vidor did "handle" Crosby's speed to the tune of a 42-20 victory last season...if that is "not handling" Crosby's speed, then i hope Nederland can't handle it either...keep in mind that Vidor was the 3rd place team in our district and they beat Crosby by 3 TDs...Nederland was the district champs and have 16 of those starters returning Look, I respect Crosby and do think that the Dogs will have their hands full with those twins...they are very talented and will pose problems for anyone...just don't act like they are unbeatable because the facts state that they were 6-5 last year, meaning that 5 teams got the best of them last year...no one is unbeatable, you are better served to respect all of your opponents... As for Nederland's defense, you are right...they are terrible...Crosby will likely hang 70 points  ;)
21. Bulldog Stadium, bia.
22. VERY surprised not to see WOS in the 3A poll...those guys are gonna be good this year
23. entirely way to early to talk about this...wow
24. Double thumbs up, there, phunter...Amen
