1. Benjamin from Nederland deserves mention as well...1000 yard rusher on the district champs and just got better as the season wore on...some of this depends on how many they allow on first team at each position...you also have to consider that there will be some duplicates at positions when you add in the overall MVP and Offensive and Defensive MVP.
2. Nederland 28, GCM 14...any reference or comparison regarding the LCM game is irrelevant...Nederland pulled the starters once we were up 21-0 in the third...I am sure GCM has improved, but so has Nederland...playoff time is finally here
3. Should be a real good game...I'll go with Dayton, 31-21
4. Ozen is a bit of a jeckyl and Hyde team, but make no mistake, they are very dangerous offensively...best offensive team Nederland faced by far...they seem to be figuring things out at the right time...this could be an upset...If BH can control the clock and keep that offense off of the field, they will win...if not, big trouble...I will take the upset special and go Ozen 35, BH 28
5. Toups, pretty sure that if your scenario plays out, Nederland will play Crosby as they would be a lower seed than Lee due to head to head...that game would be hosted by the Dogs
6. Nederland 28, LCM 7...hopefully the Dogs can have it under control early and get some kids with nagging injuries some rest as well as some valuable playing time for the backups...we will need everyone come playoff time
7. Come early, stay late, and be loud!
8. Poor little Indians had to play that big, mean bull...you got beat, get over it and get ready for the playoffs...can we have one thread on here where png doesn't complain about having to play Livingston with Mays in the lineup?  Everyone has injuries and issues to get through...the good teams survive and the not so good ones don't...period
9. You continue to play to win...if the opportunity presents itself, you play more guys than you normally would, but only if you can...you do not want to go into the playoffs on a losing note and it would be that much sweeter to be UNDEFEATED district champs...it's OK and probably wise to limit players who may be dinged up a bit, but all healthy hands on deck and let's finish what we started...besides, these kids want to play, whether hurt or not, so I say let them play so long as it doesn't do anything to hurt you in the playoffs
10.
A very key game will be Livingston at Vidor.  If Vidor wins and Ozen wins Ozen plays Barbers Hill and Dayton plays PN-G. The Lee vs Memorial game is also big. Nederland will get the winner of this game.
I believe that if Lee wins and BH beats Crosby, Nederland gets Crosby at home
11. Exactly...if the opponent does turn out to be Crosby, you most definitely play it at your home field
12. just found it interesting...several had Nederland and Vidor not making it...IMO Livingston was the pre-season favorite...I also figured Central would be better, but just goes to show, you never know
13. Kinda interesting to read thru this thread now that the regular season is coming to a close
14. Not certain, but pretty sure that Nederland and Vidor are already the div 1 reps...png will be div 2, just not certain if as the 1 or 2 seed, depending on the Vidor/Livingston outcome...if Livingston wins, they tie with png and get the top seed based on the head up match up...should Vidor win and Ozen win, then Ozen gets in and png will be the 1 seed, Ozen 2.
15. Vidor has already punched their playoff ticket, so they don't have as much to play for...better to heal up for the playoffs...Livingston on the other hand has everything to play for so I will go with them for that reason only...all things equal, I would pick Vidor, but the circumstances lead me to pick otherwise this time...Livingston 28, Vidor 21. Shame for Ozen because IMO, they are the best offensive team in the district...unfortunately for them, they took a few weeks off early and it bit them in the butt...just goes to show that they all count
16. should this even be a thread?  Central has done everything but turn in their equipment and start shooting free throws
17. I will tell you this...Ozen was EASILY the best offensive team we have seen this year...I can only base that on this one game because that is all I have seen of them, but they were clearly the best we have seen offensively...Green was a threat running and throwing and they had big play capability...congrats to them on a well played game, but even more so, congrats to the Dogs on an outright DC!
18.
As much as this one pains me.....We are the Champions(20-4A) for Nederland  :-\
don't you dare curse us...we don't have it yet!
19.
Dude, no one has come close to scoring 35 on Nederland...do you really think that Ozen is that far and away the best offense Nederland will be seeing this year...the most points Nederland has allowed so far is 21 and that was to PNG with a trash time TD with 3 seconds left. Ozen is capable of pulling the upset, but not by hanging 35...I stick with Nederland 24, Ozen 14
Still waiting on an answer to this one...Ozen will not hang 35...you will have serious work to convince me otherwise
20. Big void for Nederland if these two cannot play...Brock is a serious run stuffer and does a great job of occupying linemen and keeping them off of the linebackers...Nederland does have guys that can step up though so I still feel confident that Nederland wins this one in a hard fought game...Main thing is getting these guys healthy for the playoffs

22.

PNG by 14 maybe 10. Vidor loses the next 2 to be the 4th seed. 28-14
Finally, someone with good sense on here! Like us or not, we're gonna win and win big.
You may win, but it ain't gonna be big...this will be a close game...I give Vidor a slight edge
23. Stampley for Nederland has been extremely active this season as well...real good group of LB's there at Nederland.
24. An undefeated DC is important to Nederland...motivation won't be a problem for this bunch, I don't believe
25. to me, what you mentioned right there at the end is one of Livingston's problems...Collins is a great player, but he does so much on offense in that scheme and then he plays some D as well, he doesn't have much left at the end of games...kid is a phenomenal athlete, but I think he is overused a bit
