Under most circumstances, I would have to oppose anything being named after someone who is still actively working for the district

probably not too many HF kids going to Duke to play basketball either...parents need to let coaches coach and implement their system...if the coach has a fair chance with his system and is unsuccessful, then get rid of him...you know that what you are doing now does not work...try something different and you may get a different result...one thing i can assure you, if you continue to do the same things, you can expect the same results

personally I don't really care how many points Yates hung up, plus as I mentioned, Yates had the luxury of being allowed to pull starters knowing they could re-enter them if need be (not that they ever needed it)

dude, get a grip...from what i heard that game could have been 50-0...besides, baseball and basketball are not the same sports...once you pull your starters in baseball, they are done...no re-entry as there is in basketball...that is a big difference...also, it would have been ridiculous to pull Bellow after he struggled with his command the week before...apparently he found it in this game and Nederland needs him to if they want to win this district...I didn't see you post anything after Vidor and Lumberton did the same thing...I suspect this will not be Centrals last huge beatdown this year, so I either expect you to admit you are wrong or be on here griping and whining after every other Central loss...should be interesting

I believe that time will bear me out on this, but great hire by Warren HS.

After watching last night, I question whether or not LCM will get that final palyoff spot...as always, it will be an interesting season.

Crazy question IMO...of course you do not fire a guy who has taken you to 11 straight NCAA tournaments...this team was young this year and had some injury problems....did they underachieve this season...yes...but fire a guy with that track record after one disappointing season...NO

Nederland sits in a real good position tonite because as admin mentioned, Laird hardly broke a sweat on Tuesday and Nederland was able to pull him early as the game was out of hand...with Kirby and Cody both available, Nederland has to be the favorite, although I expect a really tight game...PNG made a statement against LCM Tuesday.

I will give them this, Tuesday night I saw a better fundamental Ozen team than I have seen in years past, however, a district title is not in the forecast as far as I am concerned...I wish them well and glad to see them improving, but all that was good for Tuesday was a 10-0 5 inning, run rule loss. I do think that they will beat some people this year...enough to make the playoffs?  I doubt it, but again wish them success.

ozen does not have a sophmore team so the no game Tuesday for these kids...they return to the diamond Friday against PNG
