1. Great come from behind win for the Dogs...they won despite a horrendous first half, playing on the road, and minus a key starter who returns for Friday's game...big win for the Dogs that showed some 2nd half character.
2.
More freshman scores: Ozen     110 Kelly       26 Nederland  97 Kelly          31 Ozen vs. Nederland tomorrow at 10:30am...two undefeated teams going at it...should be a good one
Freshmen game: Nederland    68 Ozen            45
3. BJ Tyler was an absolute stud...that guy could flat out play
4. good luck HJ
5. ????...I would assume none since they all attend school in Nederland.
6. gotta get the ball down the floor before you can get it to the big guy...Nederland doesn't have alot of experience in the backcourt this year, but they will improve as the season wears on...the notion is to be playing your best basketball during district, not preseason.
7. More freshman scores: Ozen    110 Kelly      26 Nederland  97 Kelly          31 Ozen vs. Nederland tomorrow at 10:30am...two undefeated teams going at it...should be a good one
8. right back at you, pally!  Zip it!
9. Great to hear, but not surprising given the coaching staffs of both teams...this will be an interesting rivalry for a few years to come...heck, even the freshman game had some respectful hard hitting in it.
10. heck of a player...I was impressed with him last night...he is always around the ball and often times was asked to cover more of the field than a typical linebacker
11. congrats to vidor...represent 20-4A well in the playoffs
12. Lumberton's program has come along way, but they catch grief when they open the season with all the hype and "district champion/dynasty" talk...this is exactly what people mean when they tell you to win for more than 2 seasons before you start talkin trash...2 good seasons do not a dynasty or top flight program make. Their kids do play extremely hard and with their growth, I am sure they will have some more good seasons ahead, but maybe now you guys can appreciate how difficult it is to be in the mix year after year like the Nederland, PNGs, and Centrals of the world are...i think this makes 13/14 years now for Neumann and company...that is pretty impressive IMO, none moreso than this year.
13. well go give yourself a cookie then...btw, we are still laughing
14. Unbelievable the turnaround this bunch has made...it is truly a testament to their character...certainly not the best Nederland team ever, but dang sure one of the most memorable...true guts and grit and to say we are proud of this group would be an understatement...outstanding job by the kids and coaches alike of overcoming tremendous adversity all season long...keep it going guys...this is too much fun to end right now
15.
Ned 00 was better than Ned 01.  JMO... and they belong on this list.
Good point, bru...the 00 team IMO was the best Nederland has had although they did not win Region III like the 01 team...the 00 team lost that heartbreaker to Bay City after outplaying them entirely, only to see BC go on to win state...the 01 team was a bunch of overachievers who got extremely hot at the right time and played with tons of guts to win Region III
16. 9th grade: Nederland  28 Lumberton  16 This gives Nederland the district title with a 7-0 district record
17. Hard to give you too much credit after some of the statements you have made on this thread, but OK...I will give you the benefit of the doubt...Nederland will need someone to step up at the WR position with Brady apparently out...Brady and Forney really had some nice chemistry going so his loss will hurt...I still think the Dogs can pull this off...Nederland 27, L-town 20
18.

Nederland has always had a faithful and spirited fan base (as evidenced in this thread). The team seems to be down this year I guess because of injuries. But I'm glad Nederland is doing better as of late, it will make for a better game with Lumberton. Lumberton did not play well against PNG, that is an under statement as they were never in the game from the start. They played a conservative game against LCM last week, but they took care of business and did what they had to do for the win. Lumberton has 8 very good receivers and the QB uses them all. The QB runs very well and much better than Nederland's. The RBs have more depth now than the beginning of the year with the emergence of McDonald. The O line is back and healthy. The run defense is solid, they have three starters back healthy after getting hurt in the Livingston game.  Nederland should expect a swarm of blitzes led by the beast, Anthony Beard. The defensive secondary is ready for the one on one pass defense that goes with the blitz. If Lumberton limits their penalties and turnovers, they will win by 13 points. All said, I expect a very exciting game and what a way to end the regular season! Go Raiders.
Do the Raiders have any formations where all 8 awesome WR's are out there at once?  ::)
lol Jake...I was thinking the same thing...that leaves a QB, center, and one linemen (unless of course they decide to keep a back in for protection)
19.
I don't blame Nederland for saying he was hurt, anyone that makes that kind of mistake needs an excuse.  That's your story and you're stickin' to it.  Nederland has always tried to compete with PNG and has never stacked up especially this year.  That's a stigma they haven't been able to overcome.  They make too many mistakes and a lot of it comes from the top.  This is just another example.
Does your mom know you are on her computer...do your homework!  Seriously, did you not read that the kid was injured...he was hurt early during the FW game and did not return until the week we played Central
20. that was a pretty good chunk...that was one of the most busch league calls I have ever seen...fortunately, it did not end up impacting the outcome.
21. You must be kidding to be complaining about refs...I agree, they were not good, but we got hosed more than Vidor did...the late personal foul was total garbage...the early TD you are complaining about was, in fact, a TD...the back judge even waited to call it until he saw the divot left by the receiver...get over yourself, quit whining and accept the facts
22. L-train...choo friggin choo
23. Freshmen Nederland    16 Livingston      0
24. man, this is a far cry from the hype we have been hearing from Lumberton over the last two seasons
25. Your right. Refs... ;D .. Also, don't start shaking those annoying propane tanks! Soulja, I always respect your posts, but come on with the "refs" and home cookin thing.
