If Nederland keeps kicking this can down the road, the price tag is only going to get higher...10 years ago, it would have cost $126 million to pretty much have ALL new schools...now, $156 million for one school replacement and fixes to the some of the others...this has to be done sooner or later...later just means way more $$...I hate spending money as much as the next guy, but the reality is that you are already spending large sums of money on maintenance of old, dilapidated buildings that are 70 and 80 years old in many cases...I would rather spend my money on something new and up to date than maintaining something 80 years old that doesn't meet the needs of today's education system

lol...makes this not too hard to figure out!!

I went hoping to watch a high school basketball game but ended up watching 3 men in stripes shirts and black pants take over the game...wasn’t all that entertaining...too many whistles for my taste and it made for a slow, sloppy game...it happens...good win for the dogs -
Mecca just needs to move on to the hoops season...kinda cheating themselves because they get an early start...lol

Amen...been a Cowboy fan my entire life, but it is getting REALLY, REALLY hard when the organization refuses to make the necessary changes...the Jones' will not change because that means giving up control to someone who knows what the hell they are doing!!! Jones has only hired top notch head coaches 2 times...the first one was luck because he and Jimmy were college buddies and Jimmy just happened to be an outstanding football coach...Jerry grew tired of Jimmy getting all the credit so we all know how that went. The other case was the hiring of Parcells...Jerry did this because he was desperate and coming off of 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons...he knew that he would never get his new stadium without making some PR noise so he gave in and hired Parcells....he let Bill run the show for a little while but then his massive ego got in the way again and Bill had enough and the 2 parted ways...Jerry went back to hiring coaches who yield control to him and that formula has never proven to work (never will)!! I have said for years that as a diehard Cowboy fan, I would support them no matter what....I was a fan before Jerry and I plan to be a fan after he is done with the team, but he is about to outlast me! I am tired of watching an embarrassment of an organization continue to be mediocre or worse for 20+ years and not do the things necessary to turn it around. Simply put, Jerry check your massive ego and hire someone who knows how to run a damn football team and let them do it!!! Sit in your owner's box and be the cheerleader that you have apparently hired Jason to be Rant over! -
Nobody gets upset when it works...lol...according to the stats in the paper, Johnson carried 35 times and threw 18....that’s 53...it shows png ran 56 plays...like I said before, Faircloth finally didn’t try to get cute, in fact if anything, lacked imagination...roschon is an animal and I have said for 3 years now, is a once in a generation talent...I sure hope that translates at Texas...my guess is that it will
-
Congrats to png...roschon is just an unbelievable talent and he carried this team to a win....to Faircloth’s credit, he finally decided not to get cute in an MCM and simply rode his best player...turnovers were the difference in the game Dogs hang tough...you guys have had a tremendous season that doesn’t have to end any time soon...let’s make a run!! I would love a rematch in 4 weeks again, congrats png!
-
I just love that it bothers you guys...lol
-
it's official...Nederland is the underdog...just ask Matt Stepp as Grayhair shows above! (right where we want to be)
-
Good call on the umbrellas...panchos or raincoats work just fine although I don't think we will need them by game time....umbrellas block people's view of the field. Dogs 42 png 34
-
Thanks for the feedback...Have field goals been an issue ? Kickoff and punt coverage?
-
Serious question, how is png in the kicking game?
-
Curious to hear from fans who have played both teams as to who they think will win?
-
png along with Crosby were everyone's pre-season pick to win this district, so the argument can be made that they should be the favorites...they lost 2 games without Roschon and a crazy forfeit...put it this way, if Roschon doesn't play, then I will buy the "Nederland is favored" routine, but if he is in the game, png SHOULD win...the fact that Nederland has beaten them once already in his 3 years has to be disappointing for png...to have a once in a generation talent and still not be able to get over on Nederland has to hurt...if they lose 2/3, well, the sting will just be that much greater. Consider this a toss up! I happen to think the Dogs will find a way to pull this out in a high scoring affair...Roschon will get his and be a handful...the kid is simply too talented not to despite the fact that Nederland's D has been really good this year...game plan here will be to wear him down over the course of the game with physical play...he needs to leave this game tired!!!! As it did last year, it may come down to who has the ball last and who manages the game better, so advantage Nederland there in my book.
-
Nothing better than this one being for all the marbles...png will have the best player on the field, Nederland will have better all around talent...Nederland has also had png's number over the past 20-25 years as well, for the most part; Nederland has won 18 of the past 25 and 8 of the last 10; I cannot wait, hope the weather holds up and both teams are as healthy as they can be; Dogs have been better than most thought at the beginning of the season and will be highly motivated to finish this up. I'll save my prediction for later in the week.
-
I know...I mean football east of the Trinity River was supposed to be a joke, right? Irony is the top 2 teams somehow managed to be from the Triangle? I'll have to study up on this one, I guess.
-
That’s awesome! Congrats!
-
Nederland coaches know better than to look past Crosby...still a lot of talent there...get on em quick dogs and keep their negative mojo going! Don’t let them build anything positive...if Crosby does, they can be dangerous...too much at stake for this team to look past Crosby crosby is down...we need to go ahead and knock them out...won’t be easy
-
Dayton has some talented skill position but were totally dominated up front by the Dogs...png handles them as well fairly easily
-
The Cleveland starting pitching scares me a bit...they are very good, but like has been said here before, the 'Stros are the champs until someone knocks them off...I don't thing Cleveland is that team so 'Stros in 4. Regarding Morton, I fear that he isn't 100% yet, thus the Kuechel start...plus Keuchel has pitched well down the stretch, represents a definite different look form the hard throwing Verlander and Cole, and he's a lefty...hopefully CFM can give us some innings out of the pen if need be, just hope he's healthy
-
I'm a big Cowboy fan, but remember what I said about playing a little better at home...back on the road this weekend...I would love to be optimistic, but the 'Boys will have to prove me wrong. I just unfortunately see a very up and down season, filled mostly with somewhat decent efforts at home and a few abominations on the road...it all adds up to about an 8-8 or 9-7 type record...again, sure hope I am wrong, but that's what I see
-
well, poor teams do tend to perform somewhat better at home and I would classify Dallas as a poor team at this point, at least offensively...they may not win, but I do expect them to perform at least marginally better which may be good enough to beat Detroit In short, I don't expect Dallas to win many road games this year...at present time, they simply aren't good enough
-
they are getting really hard to watch on the offensive side of the ball...this "great" o-line has been pretty much garbage so far this season, especially in pass protection...I initially want to say that dak isn't cutting it either, but it's pretty hard to evaluate a guy who is throwing with guys in his face and at his feet on almost every drop back I have supported Garrett in the past, but he and Linehan have had plenty of time to work with this offense and frankly, I am not impressed...time for change and I think sooner rather than later...personally I am ready for Kris Richard to take the helm but that would require getting an offensive guy to take over that side of the ball...at least I think Richard brings the fire that this team needs and if guys won't play for him, they need to hit the road Diehard fan here, but this is getting very tiresome

Roughing The Passer Calls Are Ridiculous

I think it's pretty simple...if you touch the Qb's skirt in any way, its going to be a penalty
