  1. This group has been doing this type cheating for the last 20 years. The Babe Ruth officials that let it happen over the years all need to be replaced & banned with the rawdog organization.
  2. 2 teams that will have a hard time winning games this year, again... Both have a few skilled players, but not enuff quality 5A\6A talent or depth to compete with the top teams in there districts. Unless these Nederland players coming in from 8th grade have Jamal Charles\ Roshon Johnson type skills, which i have seen all play & they don't, they will not make any difference on varsity in the W column
  3. Another excuse for NISD paying top price for a base model product. Same with the "improvements" you speak of, paid top dollar bond money & still got more than half the school buildings still 40 years beyond...
  4. Like i said time will tell. I have also seen the issues at EVERY school. One thing for sure that will happen is the Admins & school board will have a big celebration with all the news stations at the ribbon cutting for the opening of the new high school, they will take all the credit, pat each other on the back, retire & then blame the city residents for not passing a bigger bond, paying enough taxes when things start going wrong, the truths that were hidden during the construction start coming out or buildings start sinking into the canal in a few years.....
  5. Time will tell if Mr. Kleins investigations & reports are garbage. It hasn't been a very good track record for NISD since the start of the bond construction process, in fact 'garbage' would be a great word to describe this process by many in the Nederland community.
  6. Fair analysis & valid points. IMO these pre season practices & scrimmages should be used to find out who can best get the job done at each position. West Brook will be an even better test to find out if the new O.C. has brought any explosiveness to the offense, if the returning starters improved from last year & what new players have what it takes to step up to make the team better.
  7. Offense was decent, saw some same issues that hurt them last year, still lingering. With 8 starters back on Defense I expected them to control HF more, but HF offense gave them all they could handle. HF young QB looked good, strong arm exposed Ned. secondary on several plays. Tackling was not sharp overall, imo. But it was the 1st real action, so we will see if the coaches get things fixed in time for WOS.
  8. Toronto Blue Jays draft Former PNG\McNeese pitcher Grant Rogers in the 11th round, pick #334.
  9. None on the store shelves around Beaumont, Tx yet.
  10. No outfield turf, same as baseball field set up at B.C.
  11. Kelly baseball field has turf infield.
  12. So what exactly is the age do you stop calling them kids & sheltering them from any accountability? We all give them praise when they are good, what's wrong with discussing when they are bad? From my exp. most 17\18 year olds are young ADULTS & not doing kid stuff.
  13. How many points were put on the board by these "great quality" dawgs WR's vs. the quality P.A. DB's in this one hand touch 7on7 controlled passing game scrimmage?
  14. Things are looking good at the Ned. QB position, I saw a twitter post the returning starter had an unofficial visit\photo shoot in College Station with pics in A&M football gear. I assume from this he has only improved his skills over the off season to be a quality player & help Ned improve from last year.
  15. Local SETX teams- Huffman made it to the state tournament last year (33-14) & Barbers Hill (40-7) is always one of the stronger teams in 5A every year. Manvel (33-11) went 4 rds deep last year, beating B.H. in 3rd rd. Friendswood (34-12) & Fulshear ( 32-10) are always tough teams to beat & making deep playoff runs. The 3A ranks East Bernard (42-7) made it to the state tournament, Central Heights (41-9) made it to the 5th rd. losing to East Bernard. Orangefield (25-14) & Diboll (31-11) made it 2 rds into the playoffs. Not excatly sure what these teams have coming back for '23.
  16. Rivals has him with 11 offers & no star rating as of yet ESPN has 11 offers & no star rating yet 247 has 11 offers & no star rating yet Needs a very successful super stat junior year to boost those rankings & ratings up to 5 star
  17. Nederland- 10 Groves- 5 Port Neches- 10 B.C.- 9 B.C. ELIMINATED
  18. The transfer QB from Ft. Bend Christian has had private QB training & is a member of Jenkins Elite Training founded by Tim Jenkins former NFL QB & NFL Analyst their moto is- "Where the best QB's, RB's, WR's, OL & DL, get better" . So apparently these pro trainer coaches did a poor job with their drills & mental teachings also.
  19. Let Spider man speak his mind, he is hammering home his opinion cleanly. Plus it's a good discussion, nothing else going on right now sports wise in Nederland except the 9 yr. old all stars winning district in baseball & the 10's run ruling teams their 1st 2 games
