never said u detracted from anyones ability. I agreed with u & stated more believable times since u just stated u doubt the players ability to run a certain time. u asked who was going to replace latulas & simmons so i stated sum options, if u took my statement as offensive i apologize. I agree. I will give them a penalty for not being nfl quality to 4.6, 4.65 & 4.7. I guess we will see with these guys play on the field, if their speed is quality or a little coaches confidence building. Which Nederlands DB's,WR's & RB's have proven quite well the last 2 years their confidence & speed can compete with most teams. Side note Nederland also has a very good QB(Fernandez)with quality stats returning for his 3rd year of varsity play,Don't be surprised when he continues to win games behind a solid & experienced O-line.

The flyin hawaiian no longer plays football. There are a couple sophmores to be with talent to help contribute on offense. If Ned DB's play offense also they will be one of the toughest to stop in the district, 2 of them returning are 3 year starters at DB/kick/punt return (Lewis 4.6/Hiltz 4.5) have exp. at WR& RB & are very athletic & skilled to do damage to any defense. Another DB ( Roccaforte) plays RB also & runs a 4.4 40. Nederland like most teams just has to figure out the best way to use their best guys in the best positions & avoid injuries to win games.

Chris Smith is varsity basketball asst. & head freshmen basketball coach. There is no coach at nhs that is strictly varsity basketball only. English coaches all 3 levels at practice & in some games.

Split Crew- 2 umps from 22-5a were at 1st & 3rd & 2 from 21-5a were at home & 2nd.

the play in cf was a play not made by a player off a hit ball, not a call by an umpire 90 foot away at home plate,whose view was blocked on a play that the 3rd base ump was 10 foot away & made no obstruction call. BH might have been the best team in that game but no one will know for sure because an umpire gave the 3rd run.

watching the replay of the game & the play in question,there is clearly no fake tag or obstruction by ned 3rd baseman in front of 3rd base bag. 3rd baseman is a foot away from inside corner of base lined up to take a throw from second giving runner clear path to base, his back almost facing home plate with both hands on knees.maybe home plate ump was in bad position or blocked from seeing the play correctly, Even if this call was made giving Nederland a run it would be bs for bh.

nothing was done to make runner slow down or slide, as hard as he was going to get to 3rd im sure he was not paying attention to the fielder. im sure the home plate umpire has a different fake tag rule he knows & can show that justifies his call. Both teams played hard & bh team is very good & well coached not taking anything away from either team.

bh runner was in a pick off play at 2nd. nederland catcher threw behind runner at 2nd after a pitch. Bh runner couldnt get back to 2nd, so took off for 3rd, the ball popped out of nederland 2nd basemans glove as he attempted to catch throw & make throw to 3rd for tag out, bh runner was full speed trying to get to 3rd & sliding into 3rd not aware the ball was dropped & no throw, there was never any action by ned 3rd baseman to make runner slow down or slide or obstruct runner from base or going home. But hey 9 times out 0f 10 if an umpire is left to make a judgment or interpretation call on a play some one is getting hosed

Any idea if there is an applicant list for the B.C. AD job?

Coach Carter at png has the 2017 5A state championship ring,takes png to playoffs every year, has over 500 wins & a couple other state titles i believe?I'm not exactly caught up on bc's hardware, but Mr.Carter might be at least tied with the bc coach as best in the area?
