Travis Williams huh?never heard of you & im sure many coaches havent either. Whatever Coach Barrow decides to do with my son will be whats best for him & the team. Barrow is more then qualified, knows football & my son will gladly play wherever he is needed & earn everything he gets like he has his whole life. Seems like you have been listening to the wrong people & got alot of your information wrong. Like i said several times i would love to meet you & have you enlighten me on your beliefs. Im at many NISD athletic games so don't be shy. P.S. are all the great kids, their championships & accomplishments in little league still talked about to this day i helped coach also???

Best way to get your questions answered is to email him or come to a Nederland sporting event & ask him in person if you are really concerned about the football staff & N.I.S.D. Athletics. I doubt he would have a problem answering your concerns about his or his staffs shortcomings with coaching,play calling or his abilities to run Nederlands Athletic Dept. Nederland vs. Png baseball game tonite @ 7 @ Nederland field, come on out & meet Coach Delbert Spell & all the coaches....

I want to end this tension field computer screen back & forth & give a warm friendly personal & civil invite to Reagan ,the honarable,respectful navydawg39 & anyone else that supports bulldog athletics & expressed negative comments towards Nederland football or any of the Ned. coaches to come out this Friday at Nederland baseball field starting at 4:30 with jv game & 7 for varsity game to introduce your real selfs so we can have an honest free civil discussion instead of hiding behind a screen name. Come out enjoy a home cooking burger or chicken basket on me & some good ole fashion good ole boy bulldog baseball. Hell you guys can even introduce yourselves to Coach Barrow & a few of the other Ned.coaches to express the doubts & concerns of their abilities to do their jobs up to your standards to better help them fix their shortcomings. you seem to be the big guy thats all talk & no facts to back up your negative remarks about Barrow.But in the same breath you say Larry set the standard of championships & playoffs while barrow was with him & learned the whole time. So i guess Barrow didnt learn anything & is too big of a bonehead to keep a succesfull program that i assume you were apart of going? A masters degree is piece of paper saying you completed college classes to be able to obtain more salary, it has nothing to do with a persons ability to coach or get their job done successfully. So be honest what is your beef with Barrow? Who was the most qualified & what facts on their resume make them better? I've never heard who you are & im sure Coach Barrow & all the "hometown good ole boys" would love to know who it is thats so against them. But you could never do that because you probably tell them all how great guys & coaches they are to their face lmao. No sir you are reading it right. It changed this year along with adding a pitch count i assume to limit using 1 or 2 pitchers every game & prevent possible arm injuries. also have been informed Houston ares districts use the back to back format & it will help 22-5a compete better in the playoffs. We will see if thats true in a few weeks

Come on guys stop crying & except the fact that your negative opinions about Coach Barrow were nothing but B.S. & the best man got the job. Anyone but Barrow would have made you & ole navydawg happy and it has nothing to do with his coaching abilities or resume. Barrow could win state & you guys would still say these Bobby August type coaches are better. You can do all the what if this & that you want,but the fact is Coach Barrow was the best, most qualified man for the job,if not the anti "good ole boy" system crowd, school board & super would have ran him out of town in a heart beat. Still Not sure why the strong anti barrow feelings & dislike of the man & his abilities that have led to many successful men & women while they played for him & in the real world after high school sports not just football, see thats the key you guys dont get Barrow is 100% all for any Nederland sport & activity. Doubt it will be a difference at all unless major improvement is made over summer understanding offense ,making right reads of defenses & with no pass no play. Ended up being back up on jv & out played by a wr switched to QB the last 5 games.

Bottom line is the Head Football coach/AD hire should be about whats best for Nederland,Nederland Athletics, the football players & keeping the same solid program going for the next 25 years with Coach Barrow. If its about "good ole boy" ego politics,personal agendas, controlling the athletic budget to get more money for basketball or any other bs then the next 25yrs will be uncertain

What makes a better AD? 23 yrs learning the day to day job under an AD/Head football coach like Larry Neumann or the other options? Is this about controlling the hiring & athletic budget because some non football people believe their sports should get equal or more $$$ as football? Ive been to booster club meetings & trust me all the other sports do get taken care of. This should be about whats best for the whole athletic program & the best football coach for the town of Nederland. Head Basketball coach position is filled & program is in fine shape, no need to mess with a good thing right???

Monte Barrow has been for ALL Nederland sports his whole life. He's coached several different ones & I seen him at all the sports games the last 23 yrs.
