Cut blocks are legal mainly in the open field. This allows the defensive player an opportunity to avoid or hurdle the block. The main area in which a cut block is not legal is in the trenches. The trenches are considered the area where offensive and defensive linemen square off against one another at the line of scrimmage.any block from behind below the knees(clipping) is illegal. It is also illegal for WR' S to cut block(hit below the waist) LB'S  on crack back blocks.

The new language in Rule 2-3-8 defines a chop block as “a combination block by two or more teammates against an opponent other than the runner, with or without delay, where one of the blocks is low (at the knee or below) and one of the blocks is high (above the knee).” Previous language defined a chop block as “a delayed block at the knees or below against an opponent who is in contact with a teammate of the blocker in the free-blocking zone.” alot of people confuse a chop block with a cut block.

NO offense to Mr. seay who is a great player,but he is not the same type of athlete to do all the things trevin sonnier did.Mr. Krautz or if Mr. Richard comes back are the next trevin sonnier/michael shaw/ryan butler/sean yoder type athletes,that can score from any where on the field.

i was told by sum ex vidor players a SIMILAR incident happened around '96-'97 before vidor/lumberton game. LR was spray painted on on vidors field causing a big uproar about people from L-town disrespecting the pirates & come to find out a few vidor coaches did it for a little extra motivation before the game. 

No guessing with me i know for a FACT from 8 yrs of experience coaching with mr. sonnier,mr. fernandez & a couple others this team would have a better record than 1-3.its all good though. after 4 games the coaches should have a good plan,make the adjustments to finish the last 4 games with a winning record & make the playoffs :) .If not its onto to basketball then baseball,LEMME GUESS...  where the guys mentioned above will be coaching & winning.

NED./vidor game was a hard fought hard hitting defensive battle.nederland offense is at its best & harder to defend the more #11,#6 #10#25 &#9 are in the game at the same time.congrats to nederland on the win & vidor for making them earn it.
