  1. It's all good Mr. Powers, no reason to be bitter or even acknowledge Nederland's banner hanging parents for a meaningless district win over BH's backups. But a win & positive momentum from an undefeated district championship would have been nice going into the playoffs.....
  2. I agree. Mr. Nelson is a smart football guy would be good coach for any position he is needed.
  3. Not understanding this explaining & excuses from BH fans over a post giving Nederland team & coaches positive credit on a win over #1 BH? Not arguing anything or with anyone? BH is a top Houston area program that is hard to beat, with quality depth every year. Maybe you believe BH backups are not that good, but imo they are solid players with great skills capable of beating good teams. The only facts that matter in the books is #3 seed Nederland beat #1 seed & #1 state ranked 5A BH last night in a vball match. I hope the BH starters that were sick get well & the BH team takes things serious since it won't be meaningless in the playoffs. Like I said before Best Wishes to a great BH team on a successful playoff run & possible state title. Mike Hiltz
  4. No jets too cool, just gave Nederland team credit for getting a solid upset win over the top team in 5A. No disrespect to BH was stated at all, still one of the top vball programs in the state. Injuries & playing different lineups because of it are part of every teams season, so if you want to use it as excuses to down play the Nederland ladies beating BH & blame the loss with your opinion on the BH ladies in the lineup cool. I am positive the BH coaches will not. Wish BH & Nederland a good playoff run. Mike "The Jet" Hiltz😎
  5. Whole Nederland team stepped up big time with the A game tonight along with some solid coaching. Major respect to Nederland seniors especially Sydney Nelson, great player, great kid & great leader on & off the court⚡️🏐⚡️

  8. Port Arthur Memorial improved to 7-0 overall this season and 5-0 against fellow District 8-5A DI teams by thrashing Baytown Goose Creek Memorial in a 63-13 blowout win during Week 8. The Titans have looked like the team to beat in Southeast Texas during a dominant first two months of the season. Led by senior quarterback Davion Wilson, the Titans have eclipsed 40-point mark five times this season thanks to a dangerous offense that has beaten teams badly on the ground and through the air this year. Port Arthur Memorial is poised to complete an undefeated run to the District 8-5A DI championship after walloping most of its district competition to date. The Titans eked out pivotal district wins in defensive duels against Crosby (20-13) and Porter (18-17) with a 48-7 blowout victory over Baytown Sterling. But since the start of October, however, Port Arthur Memorial has played its two finest games of the year with blowout wins against Goose Creek Memorial and La Porte (54-34). The Titans secured a 20-point road victory against La Porte despite being outgained in terms of total yardage offensively thanks to three combined defensive and special teams touchdowns that made the difference. They also seized the largest victory of the year to date — a 50-point win against Baytown Goose Creek Memorial during Week 8 — after putting up more than 500 total yards of offense in their highest-scoring game of the season. Port Arthur Memorial, which moved up nine spots from No. 40 to 31 in this week's Texas Top 50 power rankings, will look to stay hot this week against Baytown Lee (3-4, 1-4) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 , at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown. SBLive’s Texas Top 50 football rankings are compiled by Andrew McCulloch and Buck Ringgold, and are updated weekly throughout the regular season.

  11. I agree & that was discussed a few weeks back as to one the factors of Nederlands struggles. Several of the soph's would have been on varsity getting exp. as back ups with a couple starting this year not the 6 to 8 starting, even without others deciding not to play. It's all good tho, this year went south, just got to finish out the year playing hard. All that's happened this year should make these guys coming back mentally tougher & better team next year. Nederland should also have 7 to 8 starters back the next couple years on both sides of the ball, plus all those other young guys that should be on "JV" are getting varsity game reps this year & a solid freshmen group will add solid depth. I also think the coaching staff believes in these players, will be very motivated to get back to winning games & back in the playoffs next year. Stay positive with the young dawgs my friend, being negative & angry all the time will give you a stroke. Mike Hiltz
  12. I'm going with Nederland to adjust & overcome to pull out the win over G.P.
  13. You are welcome. I just wish you had an explanation to why an 8 decade long Nederland football fan, former bulldog player & guy that pulls for the bulldogs to win every game to this day constantly posts negativity towards today's Nederland Football coaches\players. What or who are you scared of in Nederland that you can't put your real name on it. Truth is you probably give ole Coach Barrow a big fake hug if you met him in person & tell his staff they are doing a great job considering the bad players they have. I will be at the G.P. game Friday nite visitors side, top row, next to press box, score board side. You are more then welcome to come sit & chat some football with me & the father in law. I will buy the popcorn. We might even agree on more then you think in person😎 Sincerely Your Football Friend, Mike Hiltz
  14. Here you go again is right, going on a few years now with your Nederland Football love. You stated you starting to think I am a parent that says coach please play my son with the next best 10. I agree those 2 are pretty good, there are several more that are pretty good also. That possible good RB is a very good all around athlete who can play multiple positions. Down years happen sometimes, several factors cause it. I would love to explain to you if i knew who you were, not really worth anyone's time discussing football with spiderman. Put you real name on your disgust of Nederland football. Like I said 8-2 & 7-3 is 2 solid seasons. Looked thru the records & i guess they are wrong didn't see back to back years of 8-2 & 7-3 for Nederland before multiple teams made playoffs. What years was that? Who are you? What position did you play? Did you start? Did your parents beg coaches to play you with the next best 10? I like football history, I have so many questions you could probably answer with your vast knowledge of Nederland Football that would strengthen my football philosophy.
  15. Interesting I could have sworn you asked me what players had talent at Nederland because you didn't see any from the games you attended & I might have even listed some players for you, that you still said were not that good. I'd have to go back a couple years to check all your negative posts about Nederland players & coaches, but i'm pretty sure the main understanding you want people to believe is Nederland players have no talent, my bad not much talent & the coaches are all failures at all levels. Maybe you need to check your reading skills because I posted who I am & it's not a parent with any kids playing. Never begged anyone to play my son in sports at Nederland. Landon Hiltz was good enough to earn his varsity starting spots in football\baseball for 3 years. Probably would have been a solid PG to help out in basketball also, but football\ baseball were more important to him. Never was a fan of juice & snacks in pee wee football. 8-2 & 7-3 is 2 solid seasons. What years was that? Who are you? What position did you play? Did you start? Did your parents beg coaches to play you with the next best 10? What coaches were the best? I like football history, I have so many questions you could probably answer with your vast knowledge of Nederland Football that would strengthen my football philosophy. I will be at the G.P. game Friday nite visitors side, top row, next to press box, score board side. You are more then welcome to come sit & chat some football with me & the father in law. 16. Never said Nederland wasn't having a bad season or they would be a good team this year. IK all about facts, just respect coaches & players out there working hard more then you to mouth off weekly on a mess. board under a screen name that they suck. I disagree with you on your belief none of the Nederland players have talent & all the coaches\players are not working hard every day to be good. If your so passionate about Nederland being good every year that you post nothing but negative comments about coaches & players then put your name on it. My "bashing" or calling you out is pretty soft but since you feel bashed I will stop responding. Just out of curiosity what was the Nederland teams records the years you played varsity football? Did the coaches meet your standards of being good? Did the players have talent?
  17. Nothing getting wodded up with me. I like this lay it all on the table kinda party. You the one with all the negative opinions about Nederland Football coaches\players back to the Neuman glory days. It has to matter to you & be a personal issue to trash your hometown Nederland program every chance you get?? Who you is, tax payer man 🤣 Mike Hiltz 711 16th St. Nederland, Tx Nederland Tax Payer since 1996 P.S. I really do not have personal issues & even do not agree or like some of the NISD Admins, a couple board members, a few coaches, especially basketball & a hand full of some home grown NISD favorites, but unlike you all those people know this based on our face to face interactions & discussions.
  18. Personal reasons to do what? My inlaws been Nederland tax payers since the '40's, whats your point? Who you is Mr. tax payer?
