STiger85 Members 4.9k LocationIn the woods or on the lake Posted 16 hours ago · IP Silsbee v Orangefield Controlled scrimmage-Silsbee 1TD, rush 11-86 (7.82 ypr), pass 5-10-73-1-0, penalties 3-25; Orangefield 0TD, rush 16-86 (5.37 ypr), pass 2-3-30-0-0, 1 turnover, penalties 1-5 Live scrimmage - Silsbee 2TD 14points, rush 17-124 TD (7.47 ypr), pass 3-8-42-1-0, 1 turnover, penalties 2-10; Orangefield 1TD 6points, rush 23-127 (5.52 ypr), 0-3-0-0, penalties 3-15 A good physical scrimmage for both teams. Orangefield has some nice size lads on both sides of the ball and some scrappy RBs that don't quit. Both teams had some long runs and both teams showed they could grind it down the field. Silsbee defense had two goal line stands, one ended in a fumble and one in a missed FG. Silsbee's offense was more consistent this scrimmage, blocking and running. Good luck to both teams this season. TigerNation!!!

  17. IK it is a scrimmage but if Nederland is throwing 4 td passes & accumulating 300yds passing with no threat of a running game, those 6A squads might do more damage to WB secondary. WB offense had 2 solid RB's, 3 good WR's, a big TE & the QB looked sharp. WB O-line pass protected well & had some good run blocking. The 2 picks & fumble inside the redzone were negatives for the WB offense
  18. 2nd Half of scrimmage Westbrook 2 rushing TD’s Nederland 2 passing TD’s Nederland defense came up with 2 turnovers. A pick at the 1yd line by CB #24 & a fumble recovery at the Ned. 20 yd line #10 had a better 2nd half at QB, completed several nice passes on a couple of drives for 2 TD passes. A 30 yd TD pass to #6 Caywood & a 5 yd TD pass to #1 Barrow. 2nd half also had kicking game which #16 for Nederland had some nice deep kick offs, punts & made both xtra points Overall both teams look decent, both need some players to step up on both sides of the ball. Westbrook offense will need to score 60 a game to compete with the top 4 teams in their district. Nederland will need quite a few young players to consistently make plays on both side of the ball, play ball control offense & score , lights out defense, mistake free football & get some turnovers each game to get a playoff spot. Imo
  19. First Session of live game scrimmage Westbrook 2 TD’s Nederland 2 TD’s Westbrook 2 multiple play drives mixing short passes, mid range passes & good runs, one drive ends on a 10 yd TD pass in the back of the endzone off a short QB scramble to his right other TD was a 15 yd run play off left tackle. Nederland CB #13 Isiah Hernandez intercepted a Westbrook pass at the goal line to end one Westbrook drive, play was blown dead. With isiahs speed might have been a pick 6 Nedeland offense did not do much their 1st 3 possessions with the #10 Ft.Bend Christian transfer at QB. Missed some open WR’s & no running game threat Ayden Sunday #18 came in at QB the next couple of series & threw a 50 yd TD pass to #24 on a go route down Westbrooks sideline Thr next series #18 Sunday threw a 20 yd pass to TE- #6 Caywood across the middle who took it 40yds for the 60 yd scoring play score Nederland offense competing better with #18 making plays at QB About to start 2nd portion of scrimmage West Brook has around 60 players suited up Nederland has 50 players suited up
  20. Coldspring-Oakhurst 2022 INFO- The Trojans will rely on experience at the skill spots to keep them in the mix for a district title. RB/LB- Easton Dean (1,143 yards, 13 TDs rushing) had a great sophomore campaign and could be a force for Coldspring. QB/DB- Luke Monroe (362 yards, 4 TDs passing; 173 yards, 4 TDs rushing; 2 INTs) got it done on both sides of the ball a year ago. TE/DB- Chrishun McGowen (63 tackles, 9 sacks) is a pass rushing force off the edge and leads the defense. 2021 Results- 7-3 Bi-District Finalist / 5-1 District Record Lettermen R/L- 13/19 Returning Starters- Offense- 4 Defense- 7 Impact Players RB/LB- Easton Dean- 6-0, 205, 4.6- 40yd speed QB/DB- Luke Monroe- 6-0, 165, 4.5- 40yd speed TE/DE- Chrishun McGowen- 6-3, 250, 4.8- 40yd speed LB- Matthew Lester- 6-0, 185, 4.7- 40yd speed LB/TE- Jaden Sparks- 6-3, 225, 4.7- 40yd speed RB/LB- Noah Vercher- 5-11, 185, 4.7- 40yd speed TE/LB- Cadyn Barton- 6-1, 185, 4.8- 40yd speed RB/DB-K.J. 21. Diboll 2022 INFO- The Lumberjacks had their best season in school history a year ago advancing to the regional finals before falling to Lorena. Several key pieces from that team return, including two-way dynamo WR/DB- Zach Phipps (18-380, 3 TDs receiving; 44 tackles, 5 INTs) and DL- Elijah Freeman (76 tackles, 14 TFL, 6 sacks). QB- Hayden Harris (392 yards, 2 TDs passing; 306 yards, 4 TDs rushing) is back to lead Diboll’s ground-oriented attack. The big key for Diboll, who is big and physical up front, will be finding a featured running back to tote the mail. 2021 Results- 10-4, Regional Finalist / 6-0 District Record Lettermen R/L- 25/11 Returning Starters- Offense- 7 Defense- 8 Impact Players WR/DB- Zach Phipps- 6-2, 175, 4.6- 40yd speed QB- Haydn Harris- 6-2, 170, 4.6- 40yd speed WR- Ian Willis- 6-1, 175, 4.7- 40yd speed DL- Elijah Freeman- 6-0, 310 WR- Kolby Stewart- 5-10, 170, 4.6- 40yd speed DE- Adrian Villanueva- 5-10, 265 OL- Jairo Lazcano- 6-0, 270 OL- Gabriel Garcia- 6-1, 265 Top Prospects OL-Brody Fisher- 5-10, 255 DT- Z’Kedric Jenkins LB- Jaiden Adams CB- Jeremy Loyd LB- Ben Smith DB- Antonio Palacio DB- Malachai Mitchell LB- Izaac Dejesus
  22. #1 seed will be Diboll, Lumberjacks are loaded with talent & exp.
  23. Coaches at Nederland\West Brook more concerned with bad weather Thursday & not getting reps in
  24. I agree
  25. Found out from some players that did not quit that a couple of disgruntled senior players that quit in the spring have been on a campaign talking other players into quitting football the last few months. Like I said before, the program is better off without players that have more important interests than Nederland football & the players that will quit because someone tells them too.
