[size=14pt]IFA / VTD will host the 8U & 10U "Open" Nationals @ Pelican Park in the Lafayette area on June 22 - June 24th.  Entry fee will be $350 with a 5GG.  Tournament director will be Les Ray and he can be contacted at [email protected] or call 225-324-0880.  All 8U & 10U teams are welcome to enter this event this summer.  Teams must be registered with IFA/VTD in order to participate by visiting the fastpitchsoftball.net website.    The 14U-43', 16U & 18U "Elite" Open Nationals will be held in Beaumont, Texas @ Ford Park on July 24th - July 28th.  Contact Tommy Voss at [email protected] or call 409-794-9994 for more details.  All teams are welcome to participate in any of the IFA / VTD open event this summer!   The IFA / VTD World Series events to be held in the Dallas / Fort Worth (Six Flags) area for 8U / 10U / 12U / 14U-40' / 16U and 18U are qualifying event that teams must have bids or points in order to participate and are being held on July 25th - July 29th.  For more information on IFA / VTD, call Tommy Voss at 409-794-9994!  We hope to see all teams enjoying their summer season with an IFA / VTD softball experience!  Good luck to all.   3.   [b]As the merger of IFA / VTD is now completed, we are offering tournament directors, organizations and teams the opportunity to get in on the ground floor by conducting tournaments in your area for all ages with NO sanctioning fees.  Another words, you do all the work and you make all the money.  The only requirement that tournament hosts must meet is to have all teams and umpires participating in their event to be IFA/VTD registered.  We also provide liability site insurance for all tournament directors at no extra charge.  Use of the website at fastpitchsoftball.net or ifasoftball.com is available for all IFA/VTD sanctioned events.  The website lets you enter your teams, approve your teams, a choice of payment through the website or payments directly to the tournament, design your pool games for publication, along with publishing your brackets online and much, much more!   IFA / VTD has more than 1,100 tournaments already posted!  IFA / VTD will register your team for $35 and insure your team for $95, through December 31, 2012!  In our Rec program, IFA/VTD will register your team for $20 and insurance for $55, through December 31, 2012!  You can't get any better than that!  For teams that choose to purchase the IFA/VTD team insurance, their is free practice facility insurance available!   IFA/VTD will host World Series events this summer in the North Texas (Dallas/Ft. Worth) area, along with "open" Nationals in various areas of Oklahoma and Texas.  Check out the National listings for the tournament closest to you!   IFA / VTD will host the Elite 14/16/18 Nationals in Beaumont, Texas this summer on July 24 - July 28 at Ford Fields!  Teams are capable of penciling their names in on the website now to hold your spot this summer for any IFA/VTD event.  Get on board now and grow with IFA/VTD![/b]
  4. [size=18pt][i][b]Important Announcement[/b][/i][/size] VTD Sports announces the merger of the Independent Fastpitch Association (IFA) and VTD Softball. Effective December 15, 2011 VTD Sports will operate the new softball organization under its umbrella. All registrations, insurances, rules and tournament listings will be handled on the VTD website. Teams may access the website via, VTD or IFA to register, purchase insurance, enter a tournament or seek information and contacts about our expanded softball program. VTD Sports is in the process of planning our "Championship Events" for the 2012 season and hopes to have these events posted on our tournament schedule by the first of the year. Additionally, our contact list will expand and we will have this updated list available by the first of the year. IFA Softball & VTD Softball will utilize both brands as we work on logo's and cosmetic changes, however, teams should know that they are one and the same as we move forward. VTD Sports is pleased to combine the strengths of IFA Softball and VTD Softball to create an immediate force to be reckoned with in the world of fastpitch softball.
