1.
CV is a better team than they've been getting credit fr. Got some talent, just not a lot of depth. [/quote Amen to that I put this is my prediction.
2. This is a defeat already even if we pull it off 29 pts given up in three Q
3. Classless its kids not college ath. In high school it's just down right not called for.
4. Ok good call D that's sounds better I was thinking Dr. James Andrews can't get ppl back that fast. he the best in the business
5. This is why there is never a layup game in high school sports. we need to come out in the second half and play with some intensity. I can't take nothing away from the Channelview offense they are legit. Don't know what grade Hurts is in but hell he is good.
6. Fumble punt recovered by Channelview next play they go up top. 1&5 at the 5
7. WR runs a slant QB throws a Fade Channelview picks it off in the EZ
8. 27 yard TD from Channelview on 4 &12 Channelview goes for 2 and gets it 17-15 PAM
9. gotta get points don't want to toy around with CView. D played better on that series.
10. First drive from Channelview was pretty much pitch and catch but there D whoa there D is pop warner.
11. I can't see it and I'm from Texas all my life and not a homer. UT needs to get rid of Mack Brown there comes a time when a college coach has run it's course. It just look like he has run his in Austin. I'm starting to hear the some excuses I heard every year in the begining of his tenure. I'm showing UT OL as having 2 Sr 2 Red shirt Soph and 1 true Soph.Correct me if I'm wrong that's basically 2 Sr. and 2 Jr. Garrett Gilbert was the problem last year but he is gone this year. So what will it be next? I see one problem there is no game breaker at WR. Goodwin red shirted this year and will be back next year I hope. I really think they recruit to fast there is a lot of growning that happens between a high school kid Jr and Sr year. They miss out because they already have the States best as Jr committed a year early.
12.
2008, was our historical run year.  Stowers left shortly after.  2009 was Stower's leftover talent, which were underclassmen when he was there.2010 was a benefit of a good senior group with Ogletree, Heard, and Alfred.  Heard bailed us out on a lot of questionable situations, as he was a big play just waiting to happen.  We won district, but could that be credited to the district being down?  At this point, in 2010, you can see the young guns from Nederland and Livingston being scrappy and you knew they were going to be something serious this year.  Even after the loss to Humble last year in the playoffs, after being up by 2 scores early, after losing, instead of saying that we lost (obviously because of outcoaching), he went on TV to say that we were outmanned by that team.  Now that didn't sit well with me or any Central fan that was actually at the game. This year, you start with brand new.  NOW you have to coach these kids.  No stower's leftovers, no big playmakers on offense.  Now what do you do?  We looked mediocre at best even with Mitchell in the game.  And even before that, Mitchell's passing game got worst from last year (part of the reason is because our receivers can't catch a cold). Who was working with this kid in the offseason?  Now, we get exploited every single week. And on top of that, I never see any fire on the sidelines.  We have kids with defeat in their body language. Our staff's playcalling also confirmes that the kids are not the only ones defeated. [/quote Sounds like the story of the PAM Titans man ya'll ok. Seems like every team in 20-4a misses the playoffs once in 5 years Except the bttm two "try hard teams" LCM and Lumberton even they are not push over. Last year Livingston sit out the playoffs this year it just looks like it's ya'll turn to sit out. Central JV has one lost(I think) and will have a slew of talent coming back in 2012. Replacing Huard is a big chore forget the off the field issues he was good. That's a big piece to replace. I totally agree with the WR issue but that happens when you put a kid in to SMU that plays as a true Freshman. Those where Stower's players but man the discipline and fundmentals of football where there. Do me a favor give the guy one more year at least. Be careful what you ask for. I remember ya'll was ready to get rid of Stowers too when he first started out.
13.
Truth of the matter is that we went braindead  again just like in the Livingston game.  This makes us not a good team.  If the scouting report say dont run in the middle of the Nederland defense and you continue to get stuffed, sometging in your head should go off and say stop doing that.  Nope. We keep on. Congrads on the win.  We wont beat vidor.  We will lose to Lumberton.  We will sure in the heck lose to PN-G. TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE.
. Clean house as in fire the coach Soulja. Come on man you have been one of the must well coached teams in the area for years. Ya'll have over acheived the past few years and won the distrct hands down and tied for another one. Not to many high schools lose there QB mid season and get better. Here is hoping to see Mitchell back to himself next year. When was the last time ya'll missed the playoffs ? 20-4A by far is one of the toughest district in the region. Now if I was Lumberton I would be ready to CLEAN HOUSE. They going the wrong way fast .
14.
There was alot of talk from the Dayton fans last year about how much talent was coming up from the JV and 9th grade teams. I think it was said that the 9th grade team may have the most talent that's come along for a long time. Not trying to be a smart arse. Asking a legit question, where is this talent? Is it there or did alot of these players drop from the program or is it something else? Just curious. I know it was mentioned that this is a young team right now.
+ That's e most overstated thing in HighSchool sports. Things change from year to year as teenagers. There is girls drugs pregnancy and uncontrollable things that go on at home. It's hard to keep High school kids focus week end and week out. I can only imagine from year to year. Not a Dayton Bronco fan just saying lets all think back to being 17-18 in high school. man the world was spinning so fast. LOL
15. Read my post in the PAM defense Top 5 article. I gave props out to the Bulldog Defense. Anytime you can control the run with your front 7 and still get a pass rush with your front four you on to something good. Gotta give props were they are due Coach Spell comes up with a excellant game plan each week. He said forget the rolled coverage and the safety over the top. There was two man following Nelson WR from PNG all game long. I guess he said we may lose but he not beating us. Great Job !!!
