  1. I say PAM names it's score just wish they would start playing the younger kids more in these blowouts. There parents travel and the kids go to practice just like eveyone else.
  2. Anyone have any predictions on Homecoming out on Port Arthur ?
  3. HUH fourth playoff spot who has sewed up the first three? The whole district sports some good records right now. Accept Sterling of course. Channelview give PAM fits last year playing with in the structure of the gameplan. Very well coach team. The only problem is not a lot of depth can't afford any injuries at all.
  4. Way too many penalties is a understatement. Defense played agressive and had several big hits. PAM took care of business but we got to clean up the penalties and the turnovers. Thats at least 8 turnovers the past 2 games. No way you will be able to overcome that in the future. This week I did see the D take a punch and punch back the score was 21-14 at one point. The Aldine kids didn't laydown like the last three opponets those kids played both ways and had fight with them. Last but not least if it was there homecoming Aldine should be shame it was about 100 ppl on their side.
  5. One point game in OT. They replacing like 85% of there offense it will take some time to get the chemistry back.
  6. I'll say it high scoring balls in the air everywhere. After watching both teams I say give me Ozen. That Central secondary looks lost. Plus they don't put to much pressure on the QB.
  7. The key is that after the game win or lose WBrook will be ready for district play. Make it out the game injury free and that's a win. Lufkin in a scrimmage Katy in Katy bring on NShore LaPorte and PAM. This game will be somemore seasoning for the Bruins win or lose.
  8. OK Mr. Coug I'm going to have to drive down there, and check this running game spread out. When ya'll play Dayton ?
  9. Just making it that far would be a accomplishment for PAM. I watch DeSoto Monday on Fox against some team in Oklahoma. Man them dudes can run hit cover and catch. There Special Teams wasn't bad either. That DeSoto team has D! prospects all over the feild. That being said I think we will play with them for a half but in the second half DeSoto depth and Defense takes over. 31-17
  10. Yes that 93 team was stacked Yusuf Scott Teddy McGrew Chris Anderson Antonio Simpson. We also lost to Odell James in the playoffs that year. 21-7 We where floored when they beat ya'll 30-0 having played both teams we just knew that ya'll would embrass them. That MacArthur team jelled at the right time I guess. I fully agree with you about our spread offense and one of the reason I don't like the spread is that in the playoffs you going to have bad weather. Bad Weather is not meant to be throwing the ball all over the field. We going about 270 across on the OL. These kids play the whole game without a grass stain on there uniforms. I love to watch Laporte play with those down and dirty OL FB and TE. RB get the ball and head straight down hill.
  11. He is building a strong baseline with the feeder schools too. When Thompson was there it was 3 middle schools. All three where in the some district trying to win games. All three where running three different systems. Who does that ??? It's about winning on Friday nights. The middle school is the teaching part helping the kids learn the game of football.
  12. Northshore may have started the season young by district those kids will be then grown up. They will be a force to be reckon with. With 4400 kids I don't see how you can ever say they having a down year LOL
  13. Happy to see Trey Green back. One of the better QB in the area with a lot less then most teams.
  14. @Indianforever that sounds better cause I'm with PAM all the way, but hell like I tell my co workers as long as W Brook has Craig Stump designing and calling plays there is always a chance they will beat PAM. I think this is a year where we may be able to overcame some of our short comings and be a contender in the Region III. Not saying that our coach isn't good but like with any job after training there is still something to learn. I can see a difference in the program now and under coach Thompson. When Thompson was there it was like getting teeth pulled watching a game. Coach Kenny is has the second shortest tenure in the district. Hell he is just getting his feet wet.
  15. I mean really what where the post that set you off Indian? I can't recall one where anyone in here was talking PAM up during the game. Hell to be honest the D scares me. without sacks counted I think we have given up 3 100 yard rushing games to what you call weak opponents. Central won there district and PNG beat Ozen in OT last year. I think we all know that we have not been tested but at least unlike past years we makind short work of these opponents. Trust everyone in Port Arthur is looking forward to traveling to Northshore on the 7th of October and seeing a good high school football game.
  16. @SFA85 Nederland and B Hill had a good ole bench clearing brawl last night after the late hit on Raines. I guess that was discipline. Football is a game you have to play with a edge. It not like any other sport excpet Hockey. Hell I never played hockey so I can't tell you LOL
  17. Sorry Indian you are on a PAM game thread. Which means when you entered you should of been expecting comments on PAM. I don't recall no one in this tread saying how good we where. I recall me saying we could of went around the corner and played Sabine Pass.
  18. Indian do you remember what that strong discipline got PNG those years when they went to 5A? We will get our test in district with WBrook Northshore and Laporte. Until then we will play the schedule that is placed in front of us. The Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC West last year and only beat 2 teams over .500 I don't think they give back there divison title.
  19. The only problem we will never see a Katy team as long as GP Northshore in 21-5A. That's why there is a big school playoffs and a little school. Do you think that PNG can play with Lake Travis / Aledo ?
  20. Well well well we will see to be honest Region III is not all that strong in the state. The good teams basically are the katy schools. Knowing that any team can be beat any given day it is not a given those teams will be around. PNG I tell you that schedule that you've played has been really tough. Really let's face it WOS and WBrook have the toughest non-district schedule everyone else has to schedule and play who they can when they can. This is not college it's not a money draw.
  21. LP0175 Man much respect to LaPorte football program. I've watch them run about 5 run plays and 2 pass play and just man handle PAM the past 4 years. 3 out of the 4 I had sons that started at PAM. Avg score 42-15 in those games. i know that it want be easy at all but you would think the PAM coaches would get a little better at stopping the trap to the TE side of he field in year 5. Hell we played the 1993 team that won 22-5a undefeated. You remember them teams the one with Chris Anderson and A. Simpson. Much love to the LaPorte program but we out to stop that trend this year.
  22. 28-10 at half Holmes scored last TD. We sure could of stayed closer to home and played Sabine Pass.
