1. Glad you let us knowI would have been pissed to get there late
2.
I agree. Other than the YMBL, there's no better tourney than the HJ tourney. In fact, if you would break it down into a large school, small school sense, the HJ tourney is the best small school tournament this area has to offer, not just this weekend, but any weekend. Only tournament that comes close to it is the East Chambers tourney. I really wish that the YMBL and HJ tourneys weren't the same week. :(
Maybe they will move it next year so they can get more attendance.... ;) :o
3.
congrats HJ good luck the rest of the season!! I think Kountze has the best 2A team in the state and will be in Austin this year
I agree.
4.
This is "Hard" for me to admit. H-J is darn good. I have to give credit where credit is due. #5 is a gamer. Kid can ball. #33 hit some clutch 3pointers. #50 and Turner did what that normally do. #10 and 20 are long and athletic. H-J really did look good last night! I was impressed. Here it is. I wanna apologize to all posters, players, and Hawkettes. Hj was impressive last night. That was a great game by the players and coaching staff. Since yall beat us twice, I guess I have to roll with yall or get rolled over :'(
Thanks swag....your showing some maturity
5. Great defensive adjustment...yes brey sat for a large portion of the third quarter but not the whole game. Great game to watch.
6. I was really impressed with them, they put up a good fight against crocket the second game. They made the winners bracket and played very well, I say they are much improved since last year.
7. He is still finishing his abnormally large helping of crow he will be back I'm sure but it takes time to consume the amount that he has to....Good luck swag, be sure to finish it all. Now for the other good sports fans in Kountze; The game went down to the wire and could have went either way. I think you have a great team and you should go undefeated through district and quite possibly the rest of the year. Good luck to yall.
8. Hopefully so...It is shaping up to be another great match-up between HJ and Silsbee.
9. If I'm not mistaken both teams only had one player each foul out.
10.
If the Hardin allstars consisted of players from Silsbee-Kountze-Lumberton-Buna and the Jefferson all stars consisted of players from HJ-etc...I would bet my money that Hardin county would win.
you know...na never mind your name says it all.....have a good day....all day....oh and PS. Hawks win
11. He cant help it....he will alway's be a hater....I guess there are many people ready to eat a lot of crow tomorrow...hope it doesnt taste to bad. To all of the good people in Kountze good luck with the rest of the season, yall are the bst 2a team I have ever seen.
12. I thought it was a great game played by both teams and I agree with your earlier statement...Roman Walker is a stud....He does so many things well. I hate the fact that some kid calls out the rest of the HJ team and say they suck though...(KARMA)...lol...grow up kid....both are great teams. That game was unbelievable....and I have the utmost respect for both coaching staffs and both teams...no matter what is said on here. You know what would be fun, make a Hardin county alstar team, a Jefferson County alstar team, and I garuntee, Hardin County would win. what do yall think.
13.
kountze gonna whoop hj this time watch...it wont be a good game lol
uh ok, Better go back to the drawing boards
14. Man what a great game....amazing play from both teams...
15. Gus did play an excellent game tonight... He is solid.
16. the bear cave crazies were good, they were very organized. I love to see the school spirit on both sides. HJ looked pretty good tonight still afew things to work out but I'm sure they will be fine. I love those 4th quarter adjustments. Overall good game played by the bears, #14 is as quick as lightning...#22 played a good defensive game until he got frustrated. There big man played pretty good as well, they did good job the on offensive boards. Good luck LCM in District yall will be fine from what I can see.
17. How did one good dude beat yall in your own gym....Ktz has a great team, one that cant be beat by one player...playaaa
18.
Why go watch H-J early in the tournament. They will purposely play nobody. Stop trying to beef your record hj. Play somebody worth watchn. That's why yall home games are empty when yall play.Nobody don't want to see that.
Is that what we wuz doing when we scheduled kountze in preseason matchup.....ha ha you are funny you make your self look bad.....Better to remain silent and seem the fool than to speak and remove all doubt....
19.
Another typical hj fan. Why would any player try to intentionally hurt another player. When we dunk over people we don't taunt. We do it with class. We get in Red. That's like sayn let's poke hj's shooters eyes out cause they Bricking too many 3's... Come on Hawkettes! Yall shoot 3's cause yall think yall can, and we Dunk cause we know we can. The proof is in the pudding. Hawkettes do what can, Lions do what they want! Enuff Said!
and this time when you loose will you delete your user acount again....ha ha....reopen under a different name...you kill me...
20. They will usually talk about it at half or after the game and the senior official tell them what the correct call but they will not and I dont think they should ever correct each other out on the court, unless it is truley a big call in a big game with lots of implications. Sorry but that is just my own opinion...
21.
I have been reading a lot of posts on here about good officials and bad officials and HJ officialls...Just Kidding  ;D. I agree with the idea that it is a difficult job and I would never in a million years want to do it. No matter what call you make someone is going to think your wrong. If you have the nerve to make a big call you will be verbally assaulted by fans, players and even coaches. Its a tough job no doubt about that. That being said though what is frustrating for a coach is when referees don't know the rules of basketball. For example, in one of our games this season I had an official who did not know that when a man was being defended he had to do the five second count...it got so bad that the other referee had to explain to him that he was supposed to do that. Another issue is when referees don't make the right call. This is another situation that I have had happen several times this season. A player has his hands straight up but clearly fouls a player with his hips...this is a blocking foul not a reaching foul, but some referees don't make the correct call. The most frustrating issue with refs is the inconsistency they have in regards to the issue of a player slapping the backboard and disturbing the ball. Some refs refuse to make this call and some know the rule and make the right call. There are some great officials in this area but at the same time especially in the lower levels there are some refs that need a rules refreshment.
I can't believe you said that.....I know you were just kidding, but I hear the samething from the same town or towns every year. There is no way it can be the kids playing fault so it has to be the referee's....LMAO....that is funny. I think that the referee's do a great job and anyone who doesn't agree should lace them up get a whistle and give it a shot yourself. You would be run out of the gym in your home town....
22. I know it is frustrating, and i dont think it is a new rule it has been as long as I can remember that you have two establish yourself in the frontcourt first both feet and the ball before you can be called for a back court...but after you have established yourself in the front court then nothing can go back accross...I might be wrong I'm not the professional but that is what I was taught a long time ago....Someone tell me if that is still correct.
