I agree with the last post, that was awesome to see two great teams duke it out. I talked to the policeman that was there, and he said that, that was the best game he had seen all year with the best fans. I love Highschool basketball. Good luck to everyone

Wow what a great game, congrats to Orangfield they worked their butts off tonight, both teams did. I hope the the young lady that took the spill is OK she is a true gamer. The post starts out: Therefore "they", in this instance refers to "those (people) who constantly cry racism" (FYI a person of ANY color can cry racism) Again, in this instance, "they" refers back to the original statement of "those (people) who constantly cry racism" and since "they" refers to the aforementioned then "their young" would translate to the children of the people "who constantly cry racism" (which, as said before could be any color of person). So one of several things is taking place here: 1) You are insinuating that the person who made this post is NOT the same race as you, therefore, a racist (because "they" are from SE Texas and disagreed with you......which mind you is stereotyping and generalizing in and of itself) or 2) You did not listen in English class the day your teacher went over context clues. or 3) You didn't know that animals cannot speak.....therefore, cannot "cry racism" You know thats pretty good stuff, Every time I use the word "they" I'm not referring to a race, I'm reffering to the group of PEOPLE,or HUMAN BEINGS, that was mentioned before, not sure why race ever comes into the word "they".

DickV I will agree with you on some of what you say, It does look like there is a witch hunt going on only because he is such a high profile athlete. Your comments do seem to imply a certain stereotype of people will always think they are against you, well I disagree. I think the reason why this is such a hot topic is because it happens too many times. Trust me I know the kid will have a lot on his plate to deal with before it's all over, and although it was a bad decision he made, I don't think anyone wants the kid tarred and feathered, I think the biggest problem that everyone has is how long ago it happened, and it is just now coming to light. I do agree with the fact that if this was a kid from Lumberton, Vidor, Hampshire Fannett, any other school, that it would not get this much notoriety, but he is at a high profile school and a high profile player, so he is held to a higher standard than the rest by the group. I'm a good ol country SE Texan and I still hope the young man learns from this, moves on and becomes very successfull. I don't want it to ruin the rest of his life (let the crime fit the punishment), yes he broke the law, yes he will be punished, it's not for any of us to decide the punishment for it. Still I don't know all the facts and probably none of us never will, but it seems funny to me that it all came out after the Highly contested Central game. I mean I'm not a chicken but I know a egg when i see one. Good luck to the kid and I hope the best for him.

They will keep adding to the minimum games played so you cant get in.... I actually thought you had a bigger lead on everyone than you ended up with when I first looked at it. Thats still a pretty sweet percentage. whether they will acknowlege it or not.

All this is scary...no wonder why so many people are leaving beaumont. But it is the same in a lot of the surrounding areas.....it's a shame. I'm a lot more disappointed in the adinistration than the student, kids will be kids, stuff like this should be dealt with differently than it appears it has been.

I just want to say it again, not voting for a bond issue is not the answer it effects you as a tax payer. If you have already approached the principal, then go to the superintendant, still no satisfaction then take it to the school board. If you skip one of those processes you will be asked why you didn't. The administration doesn't get penalized when a bond fails, the kids are the real losers in that deal, not to mention the money that is waisted. Good luck on this issue I hate to see it has gotten that bad in mid county.

blah blah....blah.....Baller has the best percentage. no matter how the game is played. I'll take quality everytime over quantity, unless we are talking money.... ;D
